Which 1980 NTT book sold for $230+? It wasn't No. 2. . .
Well, much to my surprise it wasn't a number 1 or the well known first Deathstroke (number 2). Instead, the 9.8 copy of number 4 went for over $230. I've been saying for some time now that book is rare in high condition, and when 1 of the 2 9.8 copies came up for sale last week, the sale price proved me right. Supply and Demand lives! Alas, I was not the one who purchased it, but I'm starting to feel much better about the 9.6 white pg c
OK, confess, where is it?
I noticed the other day on the census that there is one CGC 9.9 certified copy of the first issue (#1) of the 1980 New Teen Titans series.
So the question is, "who's got it?". I would love to hear from the owner, or someone who knows who that is.
I suspect that copy is not happy where it is. It needs a new home on the registry, and I would be happy to become its foster parent.

Will Teen Titans be the next big On-Screen team?
I bought 5 more NTT books this week, including 4 9.8 copies, and happened across an article about the new Teen Titans movie in the works. As I read about how various studios had various rights to different characters I quickly came to the conclusion that a Teen Titans movie may NEVER be made. What was reassuring was that the characters of Raven, Cyborg and Starfire seemed to be safe in the context of being available for the movie. Now I know the
After more than 2 years on eBay, I've found a New Teen Titans number 4!
Many thanks to eBay's adouglaw. At long last, I've been able to secure a 9.6 white page copy of NTT (1980) number 4. I believe this book to be very rare in 9.6 white or better. As soon as it is received I'll be posting it and a white page 9.8 number 46 I picked up to my set.
Where did NTT 4 and 5 go? Can anyone find graded 9.6 or better copies of these for sale?
I'm beginning to think there are few if any New Teen Titans (1980) number 4 and 5 that are out there in 9.6 or better. The census lists only a handful as being certified and none of them ever come up for sale on eBay. I've watched ebay like a hawk for three years now and two number 5s in 9.6 or better have come up for sale and only 1 number 4 in 9.6. The elusive 9.8s to my knowledge have not been up or s
A funny thing happened on the way to the Registry. . .
While I've been collecting comics for about 30 years, I just recently discovered the Registry. I am fascinated by some of the larger collections, especially the likes of Captain Tripps, etc. Having spent some time and money looking for 9.6 or better copies of comics, I still can't imagine the time and trouble some of these larger collectors have invested in their "hobby".
Anyway, my fascination with the New Teen Titans began when I pic
