1950's war comics Posted July 1, 2020 (edited) are there any special or key issues in the Jerry Lewis run ? or classic covers ?? Edited July 1, 2020 by 1950's war comics FoggyNelson 1 Link to comment
john ivic Posted July 1, 2020 War Comics - Neal Adams did the artwork in issues 101 -104. I guess those qualify as key issues. The only one I need is 101, which is next to impossible to find. 1950's war comics and FoggyNelson 1 1 Link to comment

john ivic Posted July 2, 2020 war comics & pemart1966: I won't settle for a low or mid-grade book. Which is all that is available on ebay. On the CGC census, there are only six issues graded, with a single 9.0 as the highest. That book is owned by CGC member scrape1. I've contacted him and asked if he'll sell the book, but he is unwilling to part with it for now. And no, I don't have any Neal Adams SS series books here. Rockblazer Posted July 20, 2020 It's a shame the younger generation has no idea who Jerry Lewis was. I am the oldest person at my work and often ask my 20 and 30 year old co-workers if they know who Bob Hope was or others and its always the same response no, but they do get on their phones to look up whom I'm referring to. 1950's war comics Posted July 20, 2020 i don't know about you but if i was collecting the run and was offered a Jerry Lewis signed comic by Jerry Lewis himself that would offset any low numerical grade , i don't know if there is any Jerry signed books ? ? Neal Adams SS series would be the same ! the signature would positively offset any lower numerical grade and would likely be even more valuable FoggyNelson 1 Link to comment
john ivic Posted July 22, 2020 war comics - Not likely. The CGC 6.0 SS on ebay has been sitting there for two years. Which means that nobody is interested and sees no value in it. Now, if it were a 9.0 SS, I'm sure it would have been snatched up very fast. I don't know why more high grade copies turn up slabbed. There are only 6 on the CGC census. I guess I just have to wait for scrape1 to part with his 9.0 copy some day. FoggyNelson and 1950's war comics 1 1 Link to comment
1950's war comics Posted July 22, 2020 i've been going over the pictures of the run and looked at the registry ... i like obscure DC runs (like Rex Wonder Dog) and you have picked a nice one to collect in the Jerry Lewis run !!! lots of cool covers! FoggyNelson 1 Link to comment
