I sent my grades yesterday, now that 24 hour regret is kicking in.

Another 6 points. I gave the super comics 9.4 Scuffs??? Foxing?? I see nothing! An Angel kissed the book and it dropped to a 9.0.

I gave the DD an 8.5. Lo, There shall come a day....

Well, I'm at 6 points. I was right with my first grades for Tessie and Veronica but changed them after a second look.

One hundred participants already? Wow! I guess I better jump into the pool while there is still enough water. I'm in!

The font is slightly narrower. You can see the differences in the letter M/m as well.

I gave WW a 6.5. I guess I was too focused on the outer edges of the book to even see the subscription crease. And it's not hard to see if you look for it. 9 points total this round. It's now a competition to stay out of last place.

Grades are in. Why did I agree to do this again? Do I really need to be humbled?

I gave my Secret Wars #8 away to a friend as a gift. Plus, I knew it was only one page of the book that just showed Peter finding the costume and not much else.

Well, you would have to have Sienkiewicz. Just because it's so fun to spell.

Since so many people are chasing 9.8's maybe we should call the current age the Plastic Age.

It's the part of your childhood that is hard to give up. The Comic art style is just something that I really enjoy. It's been absorbed into our current culture. And then I think about the work put into making just one book. A whole team of people working together not just to earn a paycheck, but to put out quality work that people can enjoy. I always look back at that Claremont/Byrne/Austin run and wonder how they kept up such quality work for so many years. And there have been so many others. Part of the enjoyment is finding the others.

Thanks to everyone that stayed and never gave up, despite the odds! This was a fun learning experience for me, and I'm looking forward to the next one!

I thought I was grading too harshly, so I added one grade up this round. I still graded too harshly. but only 5 points this round.

As is, it looks to be 7.5-8.0. A press should bring it to 8.5 maybe 9.0.

No Bullseyes for me yet. Three off by .5 one off by 1 And that NM killed me. I thought that corner crease killed it and I graded it 7.5.

Sounds like another Whatnot seller.

I guess it depends on if you like hulk's elbow better than Wendigo's elbow.

Now I feel the need to search ebay for the elusive blue car. Darn you Beyonder!!
