Great book! Interesting similarity between Feldstein’s attacking ship there and Wood’s mother ship here.

You’re both going to love it! You’d love it more if you were 10, of course. My two best friends and I each bought a copy of the Giant-Size book. I literally read mine to pieces, then stole Andy’s. I read that copy to shreds, then bought Doug’s for a quarter (Doug guarded his comics better). Then I learned how to enjoy a comic book without destroying it.

I liked his FF run so much that I found a way to forgive him for replacing The Thing with She-Hulk. That said, I find it better to judge the art, not the artist.

Amazing Spider-Man Collecting Thread!
KirbyJack replied to Point Five's topic in Silver Age Comic Books
GCD has it going like this for the first 11 appearances. Release date for AF 15: 8-‘62 ASM 1: 12-‘62 ASM 2: 2-‘63 ASM 3: 4-‘63 ASM 4 and Strange Tales annual 2: 6-11 ‘63 Fantastic Four annual 1: 7-2 ‘63 ASM 5: 7-9 ‘63 ASM 6: 8-8 ‘63 ASM 7 and Strange Tales 115: 9-10 ‘63 Books appeared on newsstands inconsistently; IE, not every place got their ASM 4 on the same day. I think it’s going to stay debatable. -
If I didn’t have an FF 1, it would be the only book on my want list. 20K just wouldn’t buy enough (any) of an upgrade to make it worth doing for me. This is what I got.

And a pretty FF Annual 1!
-
Yep. I’d upgrade 2-6 to solid OW VGs, and then if there was anything left; indulge myself with targets of opportunity from the apotheosis ( 44-67 ).

I’m kind of the same way, but with beaters. It would be a genuine concern if I wasn’t broke!
-
What’s the attraction? Seriously: I know it’s a decent copy, but there are piles of better ones out there.

This was done by a big Kirby fan who I’ve never met, but he still gave me a copy. (I’m City-Famous for my devotion to the King, apparently) Contains the work in the Treasury Edition.

I remember that scene raised some eyebrows in the letters page. For what it’s worth, I DO NOT consider it to be canon.

I’m down to two copies, thanks to you! This and a reader. If the one you got from me hadn’t shown up, I was considering offering you a choice of my rough copies of 57-60 or a refund.

The Terrible Tinkerer from Spidey 2. Extra points for knowing what they have in common.

Wonderful!
