clobberintime who is on probation has a selling thread up and is apparently selling books. Is there no plenty for being on the list ? Is the list just a warning to other ? In my last sales thread he bought a book via PM. Should I not honor that transaction ?

Arent you supposed to give at least 30 days anyway before "outing" in this forum? I think that October and Patrick just need to go there separate ways. There is no way they can resolve this, they both think they are right and the both have points to support them -- I have no transactions with Patrick, put would not let this stop me from working with him. It does not seem that he should be on probation for this

I really don't feel bad. The seller replied to my PM's today with a more than reasonable reason he had not got back to me. I had been very clear that I would take the books back if he was not happy. Grading is aways subjective, and even a slab can look different once it is in hand. No worries

Scans -- front and back- but they don't always tell the whole story. I sold the CGC book at what I thought was a good price I will be happy to have it back. Shipping fees are a smal price to pay to learn a lession

All is well -- I was just to worried. I am glad that I shipped without payment as they were not happy with the books and are returning them. One was CGC'd, but I guess was not what they were looking for. Thanks for all the concerns-- Ed

Wow lots of discusion ! I am really ok about my sale. I sat back and realized that although the books were there on Thursday -- the buyer might not have been. i will just lay back and not worry

The books were signed for on Thursday-- The PM I sent last night was read. I sent another tonight. I am only mildly worried. It was my first sale on this board (in fact the first books I have sold since 1984), and was not sure what to expect. I agree that it was unwise to ship before payment, but I also could tell that there was a little concern about new members.I thought selling to someone that had been on the board for a long time would let people know that I was for real. Thanks again -- I really like it here

I am not looking to put some one on probation I am just trying to figure out if I have to worry about getting my money or my books back. It is hard to believe that a long standing board member would really not make this right (sale was under $200). Thanks for the input. Ed

I don't want to jump the gun - I see what a mess is going on with one of the sale threads- but can some one answer me a question ? How long after someone has recieved books , should I expect payment ? The board memeber told me they would paypal me. Books have been there several days (per return mail receipt) with no payment or response to PM (though they have been marked as read). The buyer is a long time board member- and appears to be well respected (which is why I shipped before payment.) Thanks, and if I am jumping the gun just tell me to cool down
