  1. Heritage and comiclink have better scans. The gray background looks brownish due to scan on both the 9.0 and 8.0? Also i'm biased, but i would have prefered it a cgc holder
  2. There aren't enough copies to make it a regular inventory item. A good book to buy and hold, good deals can be had at $2-3k
  3. Its been said before on here, but the 9.0 and below have wild price swings. Looks like 9.2 and above have stable prices. Dont see dealers buying and flipping like other keys.
  4. Easily the best known copy on these boards, i dont go over to the ga section much but i would assume that this would rank #1 on the boards
  5. The first 9.6 was over a million, the second wasn't... and the third even less ... I've had two different offers for my 9.2 that make me think this book will get a very respectable price. Barton, I'd take your copy over the Heritage copy any day. Plus it's old label goodness.
  6. Any collecting goals for 2016 in regards to af15? Planning in getting another copy? 1st copy?
  7. I saw that. Since I own an 8.0, that kinda stunned me. Yeah, gap should be narrower in my opinion, i can understand the 8.5 and 9.0 gap since its cool to get the 9 label
  8. Looking at what metro is paying, the difference in prices in the 8.0 and 8.5 is pretty wide
  9. If cc is willing to pay that much for 9.4, it would seem the seller would have a better chance of getting a bigger net rather than go to heritage and take the hit on the buyer premium
  10. Spending $20k would require thorough researching. Gpa only would be a pitfall.
  11. http://www.comiclink.com/auctions/item.asp?back=%2FAuctions%2Fsearch%2Easp%3FFocusedOnly%3D1%26where%3Dauctions%26title%3DAmazing%2Bfantasy%26ItemType%3DCB%23Item%5F1100534&id=1100534 Nice looking no mc 5.0 coming up in comiclink auction. The last 3.5 on cl auction went for a low price
  12. Missed that. Seems like a strong price, particularly since the other guys had a 6.5 go for $20K recently. I'd like to know which seller submitted that info to GPA. Unfortunately it's subject to all kinds of shenanigans. Just ask miffybunny (among others). How about gpa list the source of the sale next to the price. Something for gpa to think about moving forward
  13. Former cgc 7.5 from last years comicconnect, now a 8.0 I like it better in the cgc slab http://www.comicconnect.com/bookDetail.php?id=650280
  14. Just amazing! Congrats Wow, nice twins! So nice to see them side by side. How long before you get another 7.0? And what is your ASM 1 situation like? I like to collect the lower grades, 0.5 to 3.5 and move up when possible. Would love to eventually get another 7.0 one day. I'm extremely happy with both copies. The reds are deep and haven't turned orange. The grays are still grays (high chance that the gray background might turn yellowish on some copies). Don't have any asm1 at the moment
  15. 2nd copy just came in from heritage. Will be keeping these in my permanent collection. No flipping on these! My initial plan was to get about 4 more in the 2.5 -3.5 range but i couldnt help myself and had to get myself another 7.0. They're mine, all mine :whee:
  16. A good price for sure! Maybe the 'A grade' buyer is only looking at 7.5 and above with ow or better pages http://boards.collectors-society.com/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showflat&Number=8964953#Post8964953
  17. Yeah small piece out on lower left corner on the back cover
  18. Sold Brantley a slabbed tec 37, he paid fast and the transaction was super smooth!
