Is this major submitter a dealer?

In the past I think CGC might have given a book like that an 8.0, but they seem super tight right now. So maybe more like 6.5 - 7.0.

This guy might be a dealer. I hope not. And I agree with the earlier posts about Bob Storms. I've bought countless books from him. One of the best.

Are brevis3, aureliaag, and zaneglors all eBay names? Or are these names he's used elsewhere?

What if CGC doesn't want law enforcement involved? Maybe that's why they've "retained a leading private investigative service". They might just be thinking lawsuit, not a criminal prosecution, which could reveal unflattering things during a public trial.

Since Threads will automatically follow whoever you're following on Instagram, I'm guessing he logged into IG after a long absence and it did the auto-follow thing. Definitely not in jail if he has his phone handy.

I've seen CGC's announcement posted on two FB collecting groups. One with 1,500 members, the other has 12,000. So word is getting out. Not sure about the big CGC fan group on FB, since Bill "I don't ban anyone" banned me. I'm assuming he's posted it now since he's a de facto CGC mouthpiece.

I'm on Threads, which is Meta's version of Twitter. Last night I got a "Hero Restoration is now following you" notification. He's made no posts on Threads, but he's alive and active out there.

So if we believe the video, the guy doing this is a dealer. Probably worth exploring if certain dealers get special treatment at CGC. I always assumed big dealers can get books pushed to the front of the grading line. But are they given a pass on regrading?

I believe they announced it in July of this year.

Public Service Announcement: If someone is always arguing about the argument and has a habit of trying to be the center of every discussion, to the detriment of the actual discourse, just put them on IGNORE. I did a long time ago. This is a serious discussion. I can't imagine trying to get through 171+ pages with all of that noise.

Here's a cringe-worthy thought. What if CGC has known about this for a while and that's why they started scanning every book back in July?

That's hilarious. It's because he deletes all criticism and bans the posters, so YOU never see it.

Unknown. I can't remember the name of the main mod, but he bans anyone who says anything even slightly negative about CGC. The group is called CGC Comic Fans.

CGC will be fine. They'll take a small hit to their reputation and maybe their bottom line. Unfortunately, most of those submitting won't even know about this scandal. There are so many CGC fan communities that will be insulated from this. I got the ban hammer from the CGC fan page on Facebook for just mentioning this scandal. And that's a group with 37,000 members, that the mods there are keeping in the dark.

Um...so do you think this is also happening with Voldy's slabs? This could be widespread across the grading industry.

So...were these two books originally subbed on the same day? Then swapped and sent in for reholdering?
