  1. I'm getting the impression that GEI is the new purgatory. I have had two individual books from signings sitting in GEI a couple of days shy of a calendar month now. Recently it seems that if a sub hits GEI it either moves to shipped like instantaneously, or you need to get ready to wait for a looooong time. No inbetween.
  2. I hope yours moves faster than mine has. My Sienkiewicz book has been in GEI a couple of days shy of a calendar month.
  3. Home Page Always a really fun show we look forward to to end our con year. We will be set up again, check it out if you're local or even semi-local!
  4. That is a beautiful date for the show. Gets it back into the time frame of the original Chicago Comicon back in the day.
  5. They may have decided that it would open a bigger can of worms to acknowledge it.
  6. We had two subs do that on Friday, meanwhile we have plenty of other books from June that have been in GEI for weeks. Literally weeks. Single books from signings. For weeks.
  7. That is good news for me, that is about when my two MSTs hit the invoice list.
  8. More tales of woe... I have two different in house signings that have been GEI for 2-3 weeks. These are single books, so I am mystified why they haven't moved in that time. Then I have two 25 book modern subs that were put on the invoice list the third week of June that are still SFG.
  9. Definitely no "deals" being had on any books in a decent grade.
  10. That is actually even better (as an academic I always think of "summer" in terms of the school year). Thanks!
  11. I bought an Amazing Spider-man #311 CGC 9.8 McFarlane signature series that walked up to the table. Keeping that one.
  12. I saw them as well, and it was such an odd combo I had to take a photo.
  13. I meant for 2022 when y'all take it over. Please don't tell me that it will be in October next year...
  14. I bought an Amazing Spider-man #311 CGC 9.8 McFarlane signature series that walked up to the table. Keeping that one.
  15. Yep, I remember helping you guys! Thanks for stopping by!
  16. @Kevin Boyd, I agree. Staff was great, and load in and out went incredibly smoothly. Just a pleasure to do this show.
  17. And hopefully enough time to refill my wallet!
  18. We always try to price off either GPA or eBay, or some combination thereof. Those tend to help dial in market pricing at that time, at least the eBay prices tend to estimate what people would pay if we put the book on the site (adjusting for fees of course). There are always different motivations for pricing a book a certain way. Acquisition cost, geography, expenses, and personal biases towards what we think are cool all come into it. As for us, we like to move product while insuring we can afford to stay in business. I’m still not convinced that a lot of these prices are sustainable long-term (especially in the variant market) but for now this is the sandbox we all get to play in.
  19. Already looking forward to it, and we only have to wait 9 months!
  20. No worries, I assumed that you and Adamantium would be there and I was sorry to have missed y'all. Good intentions to say hi to everyone often get lost in the shuffle of a huge show, unfortunately, and we were pretty slammed all weekend (fortunately). I don't think I saw half the booths in the room over the three + days I was there. The only book I bought was from a guy who walked up to the table...
