  1. I really haven’t read any legion comics in quite a few years but looking at this thread makes me think of all the stories in every one of those issues because I’ve read them all multiple times.
  2. Just my 2 cents but any Baker book is worth a press and slab if your planning to sell, otherwise leave it be.
  3. Lol, based on what he has shared that was implied!
  4. Dang Rosland...do you have a complete set of 300-380?
  5. Lol, our second discussion was you asking me about the Superboy 33 I had just bought off of eBay!
  6. Now I know why high grade Adventures have been going up in price so much...?
  7. I bet you will never find the word “scant” on another comic book cover ...
  8. Scan looks better than a 6.5 imo, looks more like a 7.5 to me.
  9. IIRC that story in Adventure 271 is a classic Superboy / Luthor story that gets reprinted later. I haven't read it in awhile buts its a silver age classic. Regarding the 260 (beautiful copy Ian!) it cracks me up that it is considered the first SA Aquaman, therefore shooting up the price. The creative team is the same as the issue before and the issue after and it is the same character, but because his origin is in that issue (with new details of course, but every DC origin had new details...) it is the first SA Aquaman. Yes I am bitter because I still need that issue and now it is over priced (Notice I said over priced not expensive? )
  10. Superman 149has one of the classic awesome stories, must read stuff!
  11. That’s a favorite cover of mine for Supergirl. Of course Ian has a spectacular copy! Here’s my beater
  12. I think that’s Wayne Boring. Either way, I agree.
  13. A total left turn here, but why isn't the issue that Superman's Kryptonian name is revealed for the first time a big deal? The name Kal-El is so iconic to the Superman stories, and yet the issue it first occurred isn't even broken out in the guide?
  14. Geez Tim, that 312 is unreal. One of may all time favorite issues! And no, your analysis didn't put anyone to sleep. I find it hard to post anything meaningful at work, and even harder to get online at home! I really wish a Marvel guy would take a look at this thread, and say, I need to give the legion a try, and read a couple of the two-parters or classic early issues we have discussed. These were such fun stories to read! They aren't Lee and Kirby good, but they were very good, very fun. I cant stop thinking that describes them best. Ok, do we need a 309? Not Tim quality, but a nice copy.
  15. That’s a great book Andy! It was reprinted in a 100 pager. If your a Swan fan, there’s a lot of great Superboy covers!
  16. The Legion has a lot of crossovers outside of Adventure, here are a couple I really like: I really wish I had looked for a super nice copy of this book, it’s a favorite or mine:
  17. This is an Oregon copy of 250, if there was a 247 it would have amazing cover gloss and pages.
  18. Two sales of note recently, a number 1 in 8.0 for 9K (a record for that grade), and $3,300 for an 8.0 number 8. I think its cool to see some love for these early issues.
  19. I collect WF but haven’t added any to my collection in a long time, in fact I just sold my earliest issue. I have just about 85-225 minus 5 or so (88, 92, 95, 106 and one or two I can’t remember) here are a couple of my favorites:
  20. While the cover to 306 is not as good as a LSH cover, the story is pretty cool with the first Substitute heroes. I always like their stories personally. Here is another early Legion cover. I bought this at a SDCC probably 20 years ago.
