  1. I responded to an ad on Kijiji and managed to get my hands on a pretty sweet poster rack.
  2. I decided to browse through a store similar to Goodwill while I was out on my lunch break today. As I was about to leave, I came upon a few random comic books and started to flip through them. It looked like there was nothing but drek to be had, but then I found a copy of Captain Marvel #17 (2nd printing) with a $1.50 price tag on it. I almost did a little dance right in the store when I realized what I was holding.
  3. I found a European edition of BA #12 while I was in Quebec City today. It isn't in the best shape, but it only cost me a couple of bucks.
  4. After responding to an ad on Kijiji (Canadian Craigslist), I managed to get my hands on a decent lot of G.I.Joe stuff for a great price. I'm lucky that I did, because there were people trying to convince the seller to back out of his deal with me and sell the toys to them instead. Some even offered to pay more than double what I agreed to pay, but the seller turned them all down and honored our deal. I was very impressed.
  5. My comic room looked like this a few weeks ago. It now looks like this. It's depressing to see, but like a phoenix it will rise again. It's currently being rebuilt in a brand new, much larger space. With the extra room, I'll finally have space to display things that have been hidden away in storage for years. I'll post more pictures of the new room once I've got everything set up.
  6. I was walking my girlfriend home from work last night when something caught my eye. Sitting in a pile of trash, was a box containing the G.I. Joe Headquarters from 1983. It's missing some pieces, but it's in pretty good condition overall. Upon closer inspection, I discovered that the headquarters' secret compartment held a stack of G.I. Joe file cards.
  7. Princess Leia #2 and Kanan #1 are soooooo soooooo much lower than I would've ever possibly guessed. Princess Leia #2 was originally released back in March. It ranked #5 that month.
  8. Yeah, the floatation devices look bigger in the picture too. They definitely dropped the ball there.
  9. What? No fishnets? The lack of fishnets would bother me if it weren't for the fact that Zatanna isn't wearing any in the image that the statue is based on.
  10. Is that the full-size, not the mini? You definitely don't see it every day. Nice pick-up! It actually is the mini version. I'm happy with it all the same, though.
  11. Here's something that I just bought from someone an hour ago.
  12. I noticed that there was something stuck to the back of my Wolverine today... Am I ever glad that the person who stuck that to Wolverine had a change of heart.
  13. I got a nice J. Scott Campbell variant from Dre today. It was a pleasure doing business with him and I look forward to doing more business with him in the future.
  14. Here's the latest thing I've picked up for my comic room. I'm super happy to have it, as I've been looking for one for a while now.
  15. I had a second mannequin dressed up as Silk Spectre at one point, but I had to put her in storage to make room for other stuff. I'll have to find a place for her in my new comic room.
  16. Did I miss more news, or is this just a personal find? Completed listings on eBay told me that it was worth grabbing.
  17. I had another good day of comic buying. I stopped in at a used book store and managed to get my hands on a copy of Deathstroke #58. I also bought on a bunch of Spider-Man books that the store had just got in that morning.
  18. I just bought a house, so I'll be taking my current room apart over the next few weeks. Before I do, though, I'd like to share some pictures of it with the rest of you. I'm at the point where I kind of have parts of my collection all over my place, but my actual comic room sort of starts on my side of the bedroom. The bulk of my collection lies behind these doors. The pictures below show you what you see when the doors are open. The closet is packed from top to bottom with comics, statues, art, action figures and other stuff that I simply don't have room to display. It's a shame, because some of the best stuff in my collection is hidden in there. Thankfully, I'll have a whole basement for my collectibles when I move, so I'll finally have the room to show everything off. Let me know if you guys want more/better pictures of anything you see in the room. I'll be happy to provide you with additional photos while the stuff's still on display.
  19. I didn't get anything as cool as a shark this past weekend, but I did get my hands of some A-Team figures.
