  1. Captain America/Deathlok NM- $4 Batman/Grendel Vol 1: Devil’s Riddle & Devil’s Masque $6
  2. So this is really interesting - even with your red circle, there's nothing that appears on my screen above the black in the lowest area of the corner (the areas I've circled). But! when I used the snipping tool to take the screen shot, everything whites out, and not only does the crease you mentioned appear clear as day, but frankly the whole corner looks a bit dog eared. Looks like it's time for a new monitor on my end lol.
  3. Missed the results, but it sounds like the XM 101 was a 9.0? That seems...a bit harsh. Upon further examination, I see a smudge on the "N" in X-Men that could be either a thumb print or Newton rings. If it's a print, I could see it coming way down, but man, 9.0 seems tough. I have (as Im sure everyone has) seen 9.0s that aren't in the same conversation as this book (judging by the pics, of course).
  4. Pretty sure it would take some sort of cataclysmic event for me to place into one of the prizes at this point, but MAN was this fun! Thank you for putting this together!
  5. I had the Batman 248 at an 8.5 - 4 grades off lol. Looking at it again, I see I was high, but 6.5 seems pretty tough for that book. I must be getting crushed on prices when I buy raw books at shows
  6. lol! I appreciate the tips on the wall. So I was hoping to get into the Old Bridge show, but the next one is booked up. Going to go to the Clifton one on Sunday and see about getting on the list for future shows.
  7. Thank you for all of the great advice. It's funny, most slabs I see at local shows are priced well above GPA, so I figured if I were to price them at or slightly below GPA I'd have a shot at some sales. Love the tip about buying some bulk $1 stuff prior to the show. I'll also definitely mark prices clearly. Any tips for making a quick wall rack? Preferably something which could be broken down afterwards? Also any other things that I should be mindful of? I'll bring a bit of cash for change, some drinks and snacks. Maybe some bags too.
  8. Hi all! There is a regular show near me which has tables available for cheap, and I'm considered setting up a little table of wares. My concern is that most of what I'd have to offer are slabs and wall books, and then about 1 or 2 short boxes worth of mid-range books in the $10-$50 each range. From my reading, it sounds like most dealers do really well on the lower priced bulk items, however I really have nothing like this that I'd be willing to part with. Could any more experienced dealers share their thoughts on what tends to do well at shows? Is it worth setting up if I only have say 30-50 wall books and a short box or two? I'm not necessarily concerned about not selling much or even not being able to recoup the table cost, but I'd like to go in as prepared as possible. Also - any recommendations for picking up lots of $1-$3 books? Thanks!
  9. I had really high hopes for this series, and felt that the first episode delivered. It felt a bit drawn out, but it's understandable since it's such a complex and unorthodox character that they're establishing. Thought Oscar Isaac was phenomenal.
  10. Hi all! I just picked up a gorgeous 9.8 on the boards, and have to let this beauty go. Paypal preferred, and pricing includes priority shipping within the US. No international shipping, sorry. No HOS members or other miscreants. Returns allowed within the first 3 days. Thanks for looking! Recent GPA sales are as follows: Asking $460 shipped
  11. sorry! I'm not sure why the pics came through like that - I didn't see an option for rotating them. Thanks for the feedback though! I'd be thrilled with a 9.4
  12. Just picked up a very nice graded book from Jim. The book was packed with a lot of care, and shipped even more quickly that I had originally expected. Perfect transaction - looking forward to doing business with Jim again. Thank you!
  13. Hi all, Love these 80. & 100 pg Giants - book is really solid structurally and has great colors, but please note the spine - several areas of wear that look similar to tape pulls. In addition, BC has a ring or damage that looks like someone set a cup down on the book. Inside is beautiful. Thanks for looking!
  14. Hi all, Picked these up at NYCC 2019 from a cool artist who I though had a pretty unique style. Grabbed a bunch of prints, too. I believe these are etched glass, with color added to the etching. I really like the style but unfortunately don't remember the artist's name. His initials are "CD". My pics really don't do the work justice - very cool in hand. Wish I could provide more info - any assistance would be greatly appreciated!
