  1. Just got this in from Court over at ComiConArt, Juan Ferreyra’s mixed media Deadly Neighborhood Spider-Man #5 pg 13, first Dream-Spider issue. Big fan of Juan’s style and he’s an incredibly nice guy.
  2. Got a few more pages by Ed McGuinness from Amazing Spider-Man #17, 5 total now, definitely the most art I’ve ever owned from a single issue.
  3. It is sad. I’m going to look into the possibility of the public being able to view the art, hopefully you don’t need to take a course at Columbia just to see the art.
  4. I was just reading an interesting article about collections after you die and they go into where all the ElfQuest art will end up. https://www.nytimes.com/2023/07/30/style/collectors-estates.html?unlocked_article_code=Y2ksbVpJFv9Jr7aq1bg4qWjaJjSLWBZOE6c2xZDzlE3bvc5DmmBg26LT0RjHL-Y2kyTwpakGnEDitF3Rbcmkp1tznqHPCOLUCO8U6ngpZJQc6vpGEj_0-iJt71YzSLYe0vRhQgjLQhxWs-stM4dGNLgThbBteucGOamkZT4mY1lF8dZ45hBUM_NZe2isGvskLC5k3OYE2Y3QyP0IdGVThPNNN1-6XUY-BbvLbV30IEBagb1r8X8chXTDmLhRshzZKVVqFXeVsSFQvnOInVbAWYlSXGFAzq5hYYanZh0rqywQKj1c11stJu8aiuGSm1Q32VGHBHq0Q-m8Xg&smid=url-share
  5. As others have suggested, Heritage, and if you can, wait until just before the movie comes out. Ride that marketing wave to the bank. Here’s the best match I could find; https://comics.ha.com/itm/original-comic-art/covers/joe-staton-and-bruce-patterson-green-lantern-195-cover-original-art-dc-1985-/a/7340-95503.s?ic4=ListView-ShortDescription-071515
  6. Dropping to $199 per page before I try posting elsewhere, thanks for looking.
  7. I imagine this would all have to be covered under USPS insurance, Heritage never received the package.
  8. Last week I saw a Facebook post or Tweet about “bricks” in the hobby, I can’t find it but could someone please explain what I’m missing?
  9. I accidentally won an early Image #1 splash for $400 (seller sold it as a page from issue #2), my inbox was flooded with those types of messages. I’m sure some of them were genuine, but others who had initially offered their absolute max kept coming back with an extra thousand, so you quickly start to realize they’re just looking for a deal.
  10. Can anyone identify this page? Someone reached out to me for help but I thought it might be from Spidey Super Stories #24 but no luck, this page isn’t in there.

  13. Picked up a very early Sonic page by Scott Shaw! Sonic #0, 1st app Tails, 2nd app Sonic.
  14. They went for more than double what I expected. I was hoping to add more Kirby pages to my collection but at these prices I’m going to have to stick with the two that I have.
  15. These Kirby pages went for more than double that I expected;
  16. I had been eyeing these Multiversity: Mastermen pages for a while and finally decided to pull the trigger, figured I could get my Jim Lee Batman fix for cheap.
  17. So many Kirby pages to choose from, it’s hard to pick what to go after.
  18. Picked up a Jack Kirby Mister Miracle page with some Kirby Krackle in the last panel. Trying to refocus the collection to just Kirby.
  19. In terms of impact it’s not fair to pair any artist against Kirby. The man IS comics, more than anyone. He created multiple genres not to mention almost every major hero besides Batman & Superman. So we are left to compare their styles and again it’s just unfair; drawing figures that went beyond basic anatomy and into forms that moved with the reader’s eye. Kirby was working on another level, he was that ultra rare genius like Mozart or Einstein.
