  1. Just received my ebay purchase of the one shot, 1a, 1b, phantom - and it was a total disaster. The seller packed all 4 books on top of each other with the phantom and 1a facing outward, everything between 2 flimsy pieces of cardboard. The one shot has every corner damaged and dents from the comics pressing against it. The books are are pretty dented as well. Contacted the seller, I'm very interested to hear the response.
  2. I can hook you up with some sweet jpgs, mang. You like this art? This good art. Give you good deal. I'm looking to purchase the original hard drive the pages were saved on.
  3. I'd pick up some OA but it's all digital , same problem as Saga.
  4. What about.....THIS COVER! $1500 final offer Is that how much your willing to spend or is that how much you would have to be paid to add this to your collection?
  5. They didn't seem to get too high at all. That's part of the problem.....nobody thinks its to high anymore. Maybe the WD justifies the prices. Last year there were some really good deals going on during convention time. I picked up some nice under 48 pages 300-400 each. Elvis not towards you but in general. Was just thinking the prices seem so high nowadays I hear you, I'm happy to be able to afford some of the older pages.
  6. The 2nd panel clearly shows Jesus in shock at the power of Rick's Ghost Punch.
  7. Rick's secondary mutation is maturing and he has gained Ghost Punch powers!
  8. Sounds interesting, I have to give this a read.
  9. Couldn't have happened at a better time, just as the market seemed to be getting flooded with early pages they become scarce again. It'll be interesting to see how the bay responds.
  10. I think he'll be completely redeemed and even join the group at some point down the line.
  11. Statues are a serious pain to flip or resell. There's always the chance of damage during shipping and collector's can be extremely picky about paint jobs (last thing you want is a statue being shipped back to you for a refund). I use to design and produce kits and got out after a few years. My suggestion, don't purchase anything you don't plan on keeping long term.
  12. As if there weren't enough big pieces up on ebay already...zombie Shane joins the mix. Ebay We're seeing some nice pieces on the bay all at the same time while covers and promo art and major pages ( New Rick ) remain available. I think the market was flooded due to the quick release schedule of AOW plus the double sized #127 just 3-weeks after. Including covers and promos there was over 400 pages (not counting inks) of new Walking Dead art in a 12-month period. Seems like it may take some time to level out.
  13. It's a money grab with no artistic reasoning behind it. They sell 50 statues without having to pay to have them painted and then try to pawn it off as a creative choice. So unpainted is code for cheaper cost of production to the manufacturer, which equals more profit for the manufacturer. So in a sense, you believe that the "Artist Proof" ones should be cheaper... Gotcha. (thumbs u I should have said that instead I guess we're luckily they didn't try charging MORE for the exclusive.

  15. "Unpainted" is code for "cheap paint job = more profit". Walking Dead exclusives should be actually painted to match the black&white&grey tones of the comic.
  16. Michonne vs Gov pages broke $3k, still haven't met reserve. I just realized the seller could probably make more by selling them apart.
  17. It's interesting. It's a HUGE moment from the comic and very memorable. It's also two 11x17 pages with no stats, and content wise, better than most splashes and covers. That said, it's pretty gruesome, and I actually believe that pages depicting gross/stomach churning moments go for slightly cheaper. I'm guessing this ends between $4,500 and $5,100 I agree about the gruesome factor hurting the price - not a page you want where kids or family could see. Still, it would look great in a man cave
  18. Whoa that double page of Michonne & Governor is up to $2,600 with 5 days to go! Ebay Any final predictions?
  19. I was thinking the same. Not to mention there is a nice selection of art on Splash. Right now the show is between seasons so I guess the popularity is at a low but I'm guessing it'll rise again by October. Which means it's a good time to be the buyer. But he has a reserve. Wanna know why he has a reserve because it's a safety net and he prolly won't get what he wants for it. But that's just common sense knowledge. Yes good time to be a buyer, bad time to be a seller I had a page up that was probably going to sell for half of what I paid so I pulled it and will relist when the show returns in October.
