First Appearance: Batman who laughs???
combiner1 replied to combiner1's topic in Modern Age Comic Books
It’s funny, CGC wouldn’t take a stand on which book was/is BWL first appearance but they note all the 1 shot as origin issues -
So what issue is the real 1st app of Red Goblin?
combiner1 replied to El Rey Comics's topic in Modern Age Comic Books
Wow really, I was just making fun of things. I never thought that might be popular theory. I’m still bitter about the whole-deal-with-the-devil-and-it’s-magic storyline. -

Wouldn't be funny if suddenly Mephisto shows-up and merge with Carnage then became the Red Goblin......... Dan did used Mephisto on his first arc, it would be ironic to use him on his final arc -
First Appearance: Batman who laughs???

I was talking to my LCS guy about this. Anyway his reasoning why TT12 has a higher value are : BWL is on the cover and 2-3 other pages inside. While for Metal#2, BWL is only on the last page. Well all the twisted Batman are..... But then, the creator of BWL went on record and says it’s Metal#2.......... -
First Appearance: Batman who laughs???

I think the only reason why the market settled on TT12 was because it has a lower print run. -
I don’t know if this was asked, if it was can someone link me up..... which issue is the first appearance of BWL?? Metal #2? Teen Titan #12?? Casting #1??? trying to research and the general population is split between those three. Synder (writer of Metal) says it’s Metal #2. Metal#2 & TT12 came out the same time. TT12 has a lower print run. Casting came before Metal & TT, but it’s only an advertisement (for Metal) I saw CGC graded TT12 (on eBay) but it never mentioned BWL.

I'm not an artist by a long shot....but that cover is just U-G-L-Y. the proportions between Lady death's whole body VS her legs are just way-way off. Her legs looks like twice the size of her whole body (arms included). This reminds me of Rob Liefield's take on Captain America (with DD man-boobies) -

This looks ugly..... The belt location and orientation looks like she has some extra man-parts..... -

I really liked his earlier work, especially the Gen 13 run (mini and regular series). I can actually tell the difference between his characters..... now, it seemed the faces and body poses all look alike, only with a different hair style -

I only want cover D. So I guess I’ll wait for it to be on eBay.... heck I could probably get a graded one too -
I think thats the whole point of this episode. On the first episode, Federation ethnic was the main topic, logic dictates that the last episode should also be about Federation ethnic...... what happened to that conversation between Michael and Sarek (before the mission). Where Micheal mentioned that she felt that there goodbye is the last goodbye..... I thought, Sarek might be on a suicide mission for a minute......

Man.... I thought I was the only one that didn’t like the last episode. The battle in the Terran empire was better than this episode. And agreed, they should have done a two hour episode on the season finale. I don’t think, in the second season, we’ll see the Enterprise. We have to remember, when ST:Discovery was made, the cast and crew wasn’t sure they’ll be this popular, much less to get a second season, heck it took a good two years for all the right pieces to fall into place for us to see Discovery. I think the last 5 minutes was the cast and crew’s way of paying homage to the original......

Hopefully you put a lot of insulation on that garage door..... it’s pretty cold out there in NJ. I once helped my in-laws renovate there garage into a “dance room”. They live in Texas, where cold and snow is not an issue.

It’s not a double cover....if you look at picture 4 of 5, on the left corner, you can see that the stripes of yellow-black became yellow-grey, which is the upper design for page one of the book. ask the guy for a HD shot of the side staples. If there are rips on the staples, it’s an indication that the book moved.....

You guys should watch “After Trek”. It’s sorta like a review and recap and interview with some cast and crew of the show. On the last episode they have the actor that plays Lorca, Landry, and a producer (I think). Anyways, one segment of the show, audience get to ask questions. One question was ask to the producer about that one spore that landed on Tilly, and it had a different colour. The producer said, he can’t comment on that because their doing an episode about that........

Agreed, Discovery just keeps getting better and better. I’m hoping that CBS would release a DVD or blu ray box set, so that I can watch it from start to end...... My kind of villain i wish they would bring him back.... doubt it

For me it’s mostly, if a book is memorable, I don’t care if it’s a $1 book or $100...... if I like it, I’m having it slab. I don’t normally sell books, I think the only book I traded was 2 months ago. I traded a Saga #1 CGC SS 9.8 (Artist and writer) for a Raw New Mutant 87 & 98 (1st print)

This being a CGC website.... I’m curious as to why people slab there books

Did the original episode (of Original series ) mentioned anything about the eyes-light thing?? I don’t recall the OS ever mentioning that. One thing bugs me though, when they took a shuttle to move to the emperor ‘s ship, the shuttle had to go to Warp 1. Even thou it’s on the other side of the planet.....and they even have time to talk and devised a plan..... and the computer even mentioned “location: classified “. They just bombarded the planet, they’re on the other side, but the location is classified??
