  1. Good morning, Yes, your book should have a label at the top of the holder which would have the book name and the grade listed. At one time it was a sticker that was put on the outside of the holder but we now put those on the top of the holder but inside so they can't be pulled off. You can submit your book for a reholder and we can put it in a new holder with the updated labels. Thanks!
  2. Good morning, Thanks for your message. Private signing orders are pressed and graded after the signing. If you selected the pressing option, you will see that as the status once we log your order in but that doesn't mean it is currently being pressed. That process will not start until after the signing. Thanks!
  3. Good morning, Thanks for your message. Yes, Facilitators are CGC authorized dealers that have been approved to provide CGC authorized witnesses for signings. A facilitator can use an approved witness at both conventions that CGC attends or does not attend. Facilitators also sometimes host or attend signings at stores, or private event signings. Many of our facilitators are listed on our website https://www.cgccomics.com/signature-series/facilitators/ or they post in our CGC chat boards about conventions they are attending or special signing opportunities they have set up with artists/writers/actors.   6. Good morning, Thanks for your message. I am sorry to hear about the issues you have experienced. Since you are not the submitter in this case, it will really depend on how the dealer sent these books in. If they listed your name and address and the return shipping information then you can inquire about the status of the order if you have the submission or order number. However, if they have the order going back to them and you are not listed anywhere on the paperwork then we cannot provide any information to you and they would have to contact us directly for any updates. Books will retain the same certification number when they are just reholdered but if they are regraded then usually there is a new certification number. Since this book was most likely entered as a mechanical error, however, it may retain the same information since it won't be entered the same in our system as a regular regrade would be. We'd have to see the actual order to be sure, however. If you have any other questions, please let us know. Thank you!
  7. Good morning, Thanks for your message. If it is a Universal blue label, you could potentially take it out if you wanted, but it is not required. However, if it is a Signature Series yellow label then it must be submitted still sealed within the holder to retain the Signature Series label. If you have any other questions, please let us know.   8. Good morning, You don't have to do anything on your end for the credit to be applied. It is linked to your Collector's Society account and that is automatically applied by our accounting department when we receive your order. You won't see the credit show up on the packing slip or online form, however, as that is not a live system. You are not charged anything until your order is received and the paperwork sent up to accounting and then they will first deduct off the credit and then charge the difference. You can still pull up the information by entering the submission number in the search bar on that submission tracking page.   11. Good morning, The value we ask you for is an insurance value, a number you would feel comfortable with in terms of a replacement value if your book was lost or damaged while with us. If you are unsure of the value or the value could fluctuate, we encourage you to be conservative as we do not reimburse you if you over-value your book. In the event that your book was grossly under-valued, we would contact you to bump the book to a higher grading tier and you would just pay the difference in the grading fees at that time. Thank you,

  14. Good morning, If you renew your membership at the Premium or Elite levels you do receive a new $150 membership credit. You will receive a new credit each year when you renew under either of these two levels. Please note, however, that the credit does not carry over so if you do not utilize your full credit before your membership expires, you would lose any remaining credit for that year but then gain a new $150 after you renew.   15. Good morning, Thanks for your message. If the book's cover is entirely foil, unfortunately we cannot press it. If the outside cover is foil while the interior cover is paper stock, we are able to press it. The foil covers that can be pressed have certain limitations due to the raised surface of the cover. In some cases, bends are too deep or large to be effectively removed because of these limitations. If in doubt, please utilize the CCS screening service to determine if your foil cover is a good candidate for pressing. Thank you!

If the sketch or signature hasn't been witnessed by an authorized CGC witness then the only way to receive the Signature Series label would be if it came directly from the artist with the creator agreement. The artist must be the one to send it to us with the appropriate paperwork, not the customer. When you fill out your online submission form, you just need to select both the pressing and grading services for those books that you want both pressed and graded. The books will go to CCS for pressing first and then transfer over to CGC for grading automatically after.   25. Good morning, Thanks for your message. Yes, you can definitely send in graded and raw books together. You can include a window bag in with the graded book and we can put that book into your window bag once we crack it out of the holder. Or, we will have a supply of window bags here we can use also. Just be sure to include your packing slip and put the artist's initials on the outside of the shipping box. Thanks!
