  1. Hello, When submitting a single page, we can encapsulate that as long as we can determine the specific book and issue the page came from. You can certainly send in any additional information you would like to provide to our graders if you feel it might be difficult to determine. If you are wanting just the page to be encapsulated, it should not be included with a book. When submitting, you will just select the title of the book that the page comes from. The tier you select will be based on the declared insurance value you list. This amount is up to you and whatever you feel comfortable with in terms of insurance coverage for while the page are here in our office. Thank you!
  2. Good morning, Thank you for your message. We don't yet offer the ability to make payments online through your CGC account. You can enter your credit card information when you create your order online, however, you are not charged until we receive the order in house and our accounting department runs those charges. You can call or email to verify if your payment information on file is correct and we can run those charges, or you can provide new payment information. You do not need to mail anything in unless you wish to send a check or money order. Thank you!
  3. Good morning, Thank you for your message. As long as you are requesting a label that is still current, you can hand write that on your packing slip. You can find a listing of our current and retired labels here: CGC's Custom Label Series | CGC (cgccomics.com) Just be sure to mark the packing slip in large bold letters so it doesn't get missed and put the label number next to the book you want to receive that label. Thank you!
  4. Good morning, Thank you for your message. The largest size we can accommodate would be: 11-1/2” tall 8-7/8” wide 1/2” thick Unfortunately, we don't have holders that can accommodate books larger than this size at present. Certainly, in the future, we do hope to be able to encapsulate larger sizes but we don't have any sort of time frame on when that might be available. If you have any other questions, please let us know. Thank you!
  5. Good morning, Thank you for your message. While we do expedite Mechanical Errors, there is not a standard set time frame for those. The turnaround time for a mechanical error will vary depending on what needs to be done to the book. I will send a message down to see if we can locate that and rush it as much as possible, however, and try to get that out to you ASAP. Thank you for your patience!
  6. Hello, thank you for your message. Yes, the turnaround time does start when the package is received, however, that does not mean the the turnaround time of that package cannot change from what it was when you sent the order in. There are many factors that go into the turnaround times including how many other submissions were received in the same week. We generally receive about 30-40 thousand submissions a week and depending on how many of those are in the same tier or have the same services as your invoice could factor into a longer turnaround time. We also can't say exactly how long it will take to grade or press one invoice. That will vary from submission to submission. Sometimes the graders need more time with a particular book or sometimes a book may require multiple passes through the pressing machine. All of these things can extend the turnaround time. We try to provide the best estimate we can but those sorts of variables will cause fluctuations in the time. Thank you!
  7. Hello, thank you for your message. Not to worry! If you have regular comic bags you can make your own window bags. And, if you are not able to make your own, we will have a supply of them here we can put your book into when it arrives. The only downside with that is that you cannot specify where you want the artist to sign as you can if you make your own. Here is a link on how to make your own window bags found in a post on our chat boards: https://www.cgccomics.com/boards/topic/241753-how-to-window-bag-your-books-for-ss-with-photos/
  8. Good morning, Thank you for your message. I am very sorry to hear that! I'm not sure what could have caused that. Please contact our customer service department and provide them with this information as well as the certification number of your book and we can investigate and advise you on how to proceed. You can reach us at 877-662-6642 or by email at submissions@cgccomics.com. Thank you!
  9. Hello, thank you for your message. You can find a list of the upcoming shows we will be attending here: Events | CGC (cgccomics.com) CGC or one of our facilitators (CGC authorized 3rd party dealers that have been approved to provide witnesses for signing events) CGC Authorized Facilitator List | CGC (cgccomics.com) can provide a witness to accompany you and verify a signing done at the show. We cannot get a book signed for you, however, unless we are offering a private signing event for that artist at the show. You can find out more about our Signature Series program here: CGC Signature Series | CGC Private Signings | CGC (cgccomics.com) Comic Sketch Art is a CGC authorized dealer and they are listed on the facilitator list linked in the paragraph above. If you have any other questions, please let us know. Thank you!
  10. Hi Rich, Thank you for your message. Yes, you can submit books that were already graded and encapsulated by CGC for a private signing event. If the book had a regular Universal blue label, you could crack it out yourself if you wanted but you can also leave it in the holder and we can crack it here. If the book is already a Signature Series label, the book must be submitted still encapsulated in the CGC holder and we would crack it out here in order to keep the Signature Series label. There is a $5 fee to crack out books that are encapsulated. You can include your own window bags with the books and we can put the books into those bags once we crack them out of the holder. Please note, that once the book is cracked out, the original grade is no longer valid and it is possible for the grade to go down. If you have any questions, please let us know. Thank you!
  11. Hello, I did find out from our Signature Series department that, unfortunately, we are not able to get the book signed at this point. We will be issuing a refund for that book. The customer service rep you spoke with earlier was checking with our Signature Series department as well and is in the process of issuing that refund back to you now. I am sorry if you felt we were not taking your situation seriously. We do want every customer to have the best experience possible and we are very sorry that the book somehow got missed by the artist during that signing. The rep you spoke with might not have worded it the best but he was just letting you know that he had to wait until he heard back from our Signature Series department in order to give you all of the available options. If you have any other questions or concerns, please let us know. Thank you!
  12. Hello, I am very sorry for the experience you have had. We certainly want to make this right with you in any way we can. I have reached out to our Signature Series department to see if we can possibly still get the book signed by the artist at this point. If not, we will, of course, refund the fees for that book. I will update you as soon as I hear back on this. Thank you!
  13. Hello, I will check on this again for you. I don't know what the delay is but I will see if they can locate and rush that down to shipping ASAP. Thank you!
  14. Good morning, Thank you for your message. I am sorry to hear about the issues you have experienced. I'm not sure what happened since the other two books on that order do show a signature. Please call or email our customer service department with the submission number/certification number and we can provide you with information on how to proceed. We'll have to check with our Signature Series department to see if it is possible to get the book signed or if we will just have to refund you for that book. You can reach us at: 877-662-6642 or by email at submissions@cgccomics.com. Thank you!
  15. Hello, are you entering the submission number or the order confirmation number? I know sometimes customers enter the order number that is on their packing slip but that will not work. You must enter the submission number to view the status. Please reach out to our customer service department and we can check the status for you. You can reach us at 877-662-6642 or by email at submissions@cgccomics.com. Thank you!
  16. Hello, thank you for your message. We do only offer FedEx International for shipping outside of the U.S. unless the customer has their own account with a different carrier that they prefer to use. You can find the international FedEx shipping rates below. If you have any other questions, please let us know. Thank you! Shipping Your Collectibles To / From CGC | CGC (cgccomics.com)
  17. Hi, thank you for your message. I think you are referring to encapsulating the books? There is no separate charge for that service. It is included as part of the grading fee. You can find our current fees here: CGC Services & Fees | CGC (cgccomics.com) Thank you!
  18. Good morning, Thank you for your message. We do notate variants on the label but we would have to see the book to determine if this book would qualify as a variant. If you would like to email us the certification number and a picture of the book, we can double check that. If it was mislabeled, we can have you send that back for a correction at no charge. You can email us at: submissions@cgccomics.com. Thank you!
  19. Hello, Thank you for your message. Invoices stay on the main Submission Tracking page for 8 months. After that, you can locate the specific invoice information by entering the submission number in the search bar on the submission tracking page. Please note, the number you listed above is your order confirmation number and not the submission number. Your submission number is 3942985. Your order is here and in line to be graded. Right now, the Economy tier is running about 220 business days. CGC Services & Fees | CGC (cgccomics.com) If you enter your submission number you will be able to see the status as it moves through the process and you will also receive an email once that ships out. Thank you!
  20. Good morning, Thank you for your message. Registered Mail does tend to take the longest of all shipping methods. It can take anywhere from 5-10 days just depending on where it is going. Unfortunately, we cannot control how quickly an item is delivered once it is picked up by the carrier. Based on the tracking information, it is still in transit. We are required to wait 15 days before starting any sort of investigation with the carrier. If you have not received the package by this time next week, please call or email us with the submission number and we can start a trace with the USPS. Our phone number is 877-662-6642 and the email address is submissions@cgccomics.com. Thank you!
  21. Hello, Thank you for your message. The book would have to be removed from the plastic in order to grade it. Any merchandise that is included with a sealed book like that would be returned back to the customer but not encapsulated with the book. As there is always a chance that loose items might become separated from the book during the grading process, our graders do recommend that you remove the book from the plastic yourself and remove the item from the book before sending it in. It would not be considered incomplete and nothing would be noted on the label in that case. Thank you!
  22. Hi, I am sorry about that. This one is coming up as still in pressing. I'll have to check into that one as well as it is way over the time for Express pressing. Thanks!
  23. Hello, we will check with accounting on the fees. If it was the grading fees, we will only charge you once for those and you would not be charged grading a second time after it comes back out of pressing. I'm sorry for the confusion! Thanks.
  24. Hi, I'll check with our accounting department and make sure any charged were credited back. Thank you!
  25. Hello, Thank you for your message. CGC does want to be able to holder as many different sizes of books as possible, but we do have some constraints due to the sizes available from the distributors of our holders. Certainly, if that becomes a possibility, we will definitely seize on the opportunity and announce that when it does happen. Thank you for your interest in CGC!
