DC BLACK LABEL, the highly anticipated new imprint from DC Comics, starts here! The Joker is dead. There is no doubt about that. But whether Batman finally snapped his scrawny neck or some other sinister force in Gotham City did the deed is still a mystery. Problem is, Batman can't remember… and the more he digs into this labyrinthine case, the more his mind starts to doubt everything he's uncovering. So who better to set him straight than… John Constantine? Problem with that is as much as John loves a good mystery, he loves messing with people's heads even more. So with John's 'help,' the pair will delve into the sordid underbelly of Gotham as they race toward the mind-blowing truth of who murdered The Joker. BATMAN: DAMNED is a bimonthly super-natural horror story told by two of comics' greatest modern creators-a visceral thrill-ride that proudly puts the 'black' in BLACK LABEL.

BATMAN DAMNED #1 (standard Bermejo cover) s/s series writer Brian Azzarello &- $125

  5. This next one is strictly for you STARMAN fans.

Census shows pretty much next to nothing for graded or signature series books on this epic run.

I am referring to the epic 1994-2001 run on this title by James Robinson & Tony Harris.

I'll be seeing both of these creators this weekend at the NJ Comic Expo.

I have on hand in my inventory unread NM+M copies that are excellent 9.8 candidates for signature series.

I can provide issues #0 and #7 all the way to #78 (one each) for double s/s Robinson & Harris at $110 issue #0 and $95 each additional book. Those fees cover all expenses from sig fees, and pressing that may or may not be needed, to FT grading, shipping, etc.

These were all pretty much copies that I purchased as the book was coming out, and just bagged and board the run without ever actually reading them (I did the TPB instead).

Rather than provide images of each cover, as I said, this is mostly for the hardcore STARMAN fans, you'll know what you're looking for pretty much right way.

Please forgive my confusion, Rich. How many 9.8 candidates for Starman 0 are available? I count three "taken" so far. Thanks for the clarification.

  6. Recently had the pleasure of purchasing an Animosity #1 CGC 9.8 Diamond Retailer Summit Edition from Kelly. Couldn't be happier. Ships just as fast as stated in the TERMS. Excellent packing. Friendly service. Highly recommended! :applause:

  7. For anyone who has received new holders that exhibit excessive newton effect, we will reholder those books for free and return them to you immediately. If you feel like the books you received have excessive newton effect, please forward scans or pictures to Brittany McManus at bmcmanus@cgccomics.com (877-662-6642, ext. 250). I will be assisting her on assessment and reholders.

Since I am not a big fan of escapist language, is there a definition of "excessive"?

How does a person assist another person with an assessment of what another person considers excessive?

I think this is excessive, in my opinion.

    No, it is not.

    Why?

Because 2 of us made the assessment it is not excessive, and we work in the Newton assessment office.

Is there a Newton Assessment Degree that qualifies a person as a Newton Assessment Expert?

Our boss formally listed it in the written notice to us about our job title. All such requests for assessment are now forwarded to us. That is our expertise. now.

    Oh, OK.

    :roflmao:

Oh, man! Thank you Mr.Mcknowitall! Sincerely. I've had a really bad day, and you just made me laugh it ALL behind me. What you wrote reads like a brilliant Monty Python sketch! Very, very funny. MORE! :applause:

PS--The LINKS don't seem to work as of this post.

  8. Recently bought a Crossed 0 CGC SS 9.8 Red Crossed Edition from Jonathon. :headbang:

Clear terms at the beginning of his thread, clear pictures and prices. Fast to respond to communication and to ship. Definitely the fastest transaction I've had with a Boardie. (thumbs u

    Hope to do business again!

  9. I've done bid'ness with Jason before, and I will do so again based on this recent transaction. (thumbs u

Recently, it was a MARVEL KNIGHTS/MARVEL BOY GENESIS CGC 9.8. Jason's terms of sale were clear; his service fast and professional, as always.

    Recommended!

  10. I haven't seen any CGC Palahniuk signature series for Fight Club 2--just Mack and/or Stewart. I know all three were at SDCC, and I've seen lots of raw copies signed by all three. Lots of raw copies signed just by Palahniuk too. Does he not do CGC? hm

There were several Palahniuk SS books done at SDCC

Must not be back from CGC yet.

  12. I recently purchased an Inhuman 1 Joe Madureira variant cover CGC 9.8 from Sean/Bird, and everything went smoothly: his terms were clear, as were his pricing and pictures; he shipped quickly and packed my book very well (double-boxed).

He's a great seller and board member. I'm happy to have done business with him, and look forward to my next opportunity.

Thread necromancy for the Sunday afternoon win! (worship)

Anybody see the words "Thread Closed" or "Closed" anywhere in this thread's title? Or the thread for that matter? Seems pretty easy to do. Look: "C.L.O.S.E.D."

I just did it. Oh, you missed it?

"C.L.O.S.E.D." (I didn't even cut and paste, just typed it again. ) :acclaim:

Damn, that was hard to do! I'm thirsty now! How can so many others do it so easily in their closed posts? Maybe someone's keyboard broke...? Key's stuck together?

    :slapfight:

  14. :whee:

I recently purchased a Spread #3 CGC SS 9.8 signed by Kyle and Jordan from Anthony, and was very happy with everything: simplicity and clarity of his post; speed of service; secure packing; Ant's courtesy and professionalism.

Great guy. Great seller. Definitely'd buy from again!

    Thanks!
