  1. This is the show that DFW is dying for. This area has struggled with shows for so long, it's good to see this line up. Hopefully a couple of the top 5 publishers take notice and will eventually budget for a show down here.
  2. Pricing includes shipping CONUS. International shipping calculated into the price. First come first serve. Hero Comics 2011 $125 each only 100 made, only 50 made available to the public TNMT 2012 Annual Masks blank $75 each My Little Pony 14 blank variant $10 each
  3. Thanks, I have a few of these available, so if something catches your eye, these are available. I'll have to make sure I still have it first though. -Jason
  4. The companies can't come to a consensus. I've talked with them both about these at different shows. One guy will say .5, another will say since it's intentional it should be graded as a normal sketch cover. But if I had to guess, they would come back a .5
  5. Haha, non story. Move along people. But thanks Kevin.
  6. Hi Jorge, yep it's still me! I can't speak to the specific post you're referencing but as Kevin has mentioned, there's a strategy to what I do. It's unfortunate to see you here saying I suck, as the last time we spoke I thought we had a pretty positive interaction. Regardless, I'll continue to do my best to manage the overall health of our huge Facebook page (116,000 fans and growing!) and will miss the old camaraderie we once had. Onwards, and to a great 2017! Whoops.
  7. I know you're being sarcastic because you see my post as impatience over the guest announcements. In reality I am much less concerned with the guest list per se than I am with how FE is going to attract the congoers they need to attract to make this a successful comic show with two fewer months to do it. The vendors that do your show need buyers to show up, including the comic vendors. If you don't accomplish this you'll see your comic vendors spend booth fees elsewhere. FE may be perfectly happy to sell those booths to skin care vendors or local insurance agents, but it isn't going to help your shows attract buyers who spend serious money with vendors. I know none of this is your fault specifically, but for comic vendors I know and spoke to 2016 was a down year for sales. If that trend is not reversed in 2017, and this radical date change has me worried, then I suspect a lot of folks will find something else to do in 2018. That would be a shame, as I look forward to this show. I heard 2016 was down and they need 7% growth every year to keep the financial backing. With the way they do the announcements, no mess their numbers go down. What happened to the Dallas I used to know... The shows (all of them, this is not exclusive to Fan Expo) have been inundated with junk dealers peddling swords, mystery boxes, dog clothes, cosplayers, and their kids toys from the attic that they think they can get rich on. When is the last time a top 5 publisher set up in Dallas? Again, this is NOT directed at Fan Expo, it's just a commentary on the state of convention scene in Dallas.

Mysterio is wise. FanExpo has so much potential to be the cornerstone show in DFW, and DFW is starving for a killer BIG show. It has an awesome quarterly smaller show already, but it the FE guys have to realize that this can be a destination show. Texas is in the center of the nation with a huge airport, it's so easy to get to. To the Fan Expo team. Call me. I'll help. To Mysterio, thanks for saying what everyone is thinking but is afraid to say. It's not a knock on FE, those guys have been awesome. The show just needs to be refreshed.
  9. I really wish Fan Expo would talk with past exhibitors and figure this show out. DFW is starving for a great show. This show has the potential to be great. But I fear it's trending towards being more like Traders Village. My unsolicited two cents? 1. Get a couple of the top five publishers at the show. 2. Break the show floor down in groups better a. comics b. small press c. arts and crafts type of vendors d. artist alley e. professional artists f. T-Shirts and swords and lightsabers you get the drift 3. Flip the floor. There was a ton of open area for the celebrity guests. If the artist alley was in that area, you could let the artists actually be comfortable and not crammed together. 4. Limit the mystery box vendors to one. The last Irving show had at least three mystery box vendors that I saw while wandering around. Have a lottery or something to determine who you let in. 5. Get more comic vendors to the show. Maybe offer the guys that only carry comics a little bit of a price break. There are lot's of awesome shops in DFW, I only see a couple actually of them at your shows. Maybe sell tickets through the shops and have different levels of discounts for how many tickets they sell. 6. Have you seen "The Block" in NYCC and C2E2? That needs to be down here too. Just a few suggestions, not hating. Just really wanting a big show in DFW that is a destination show. This area is to big not to have a show like that.
  10. I'll be there. In artist alley. B23. Come get some original art, I'll have a limited run of prints (far more original art) and these guys will be making their convention debut. Only thirteen will be available for purchase for this run.
  11. There wasn't any bait to be taken. It was forced down our throat. Usually when somebody posts parts of a story that hasn't been released, they have the common courtesy of putting a spoiler tag. Fair enough. But it's not the end of the world. Are you really defending this? Call it whatever you choose to call it. I don't agree with it not having a spoiler tag, but I think the OP is just trolling you guys. And there's no reason to get all emotional over it.

  13. If you look closely at the bottom of the book, and the way the pages lay. You have to ask, is that even the halfway point for the book? You've more than likely been trolled, and you guys emotionally took the bait. No way this arc ends that way. You guys are smarter than this.
  14. I just picked up two from these guys. I don't know if they sell over the phone, but it's worth a shot I suppose. http://www.titancomics.com/
