If this book sold for $566 about 19 months ago, and we are now saying that the buyer could get somewhere between $2K and $10K for it, that certainly underscores Sean’s advice.

That scene in Field of Dreams, where an elderly Moonlight Graham tells Ray that he has to go home or his wife will think he has a girlfriend . . . that was immediately what popped into my mind when I heard this story. What a class act.

Interestingly, CBCS has now discontinued its red label and puts both verified and witnessed signatures in a yellow label (albeit specifying which is which). This is a good business move for them (given the stigma of red labels), but one that probably dilutes the yellow label for both companies. Sophisticated collectors know the difference. Casual collectors may not and may treat the yellow labels of both companies equally, despite the important differences.

No. That means CGC has the books. You should be worried if they did not show up at all.
