  1. It's always funny when clueless people try to pass off the Onion (or sites like it) news for real articles.
  2. It's probably because you threatened a negative if the item wasn't delivered by a certain date. Once you left the negative, and eBay saw that message, they removed it.
  3. Watched SS last night with my wife and her younger brother. We all liked it a lot, and I'm not a DC guy at all.
  4. I had it happen on a Best Offer. I messaged the guy asking why he would make an offer and cancel after I accepted. His response was "I realized I could get it cheaper by downloading it on PlayStation."
  5. Discounted shipping price, automatically loads tracking information. I can't prove it imerically, but I'm pretty sure when I switched to printing the shipping labels through eBay - as apposed to hand writing the address - my packages moved through the postal system a tad faster. I guess that makes it a no-brainer. Chalk me up as a "print label" user. (after I buy some more printer ink) Definitely less hassle and cheaper.

  7. Did you have your PayPal backed up with a credit card? You might be able to talk to your CC company and get a refund
  8. Went to a couple shops in the Raleigh/Durham/Chapel Hill area today. One shop didn't have it yet and the other only had one copy, which I immediately purchased. I'm torn about this series on the secondary market. I like it a lot and have a copy of #1 and now #2. But #2 is already $15 on eBay. I wonder if this series has potential to grow or if this will the ceiling while it's currently hot.
  9. I typically don't like buying SS books. The only ones I have were because I wanted some sketches done. The only one I really want right now is from Gerard Way at NC Comicon coming up.
  10. That's what I told my wife. Fedex is supposed to come pick up the samples tomorrow morning. I looked at the package, and it was overnight priority . Someone might be in trouble.
  11. I was thinking the same thing when I watched the video. "White pages, the whole nine yards..."
  12. Wanted to give this thread a little bump with a VERY odd experience I just had with Fedex. It isn't comic related, but still weird. I ordered a home security system a week ago, and after installation, I decided I needed a glass break window sensor. I placed the order this past weekend, and the sensors were shipped via Fedex 2-day delivery. My package arrived today. I opened it up, and inside...six urine drug samples from a toxicology lab in Louisiana. It had the patients' info, SSN, drug results, etc. CRAZY! The weirdest part is that the tracking number on the package is the tracking number for my security system. I called Fedex and the first woman understood the situation and was talking about how odd it was, she had never seen this happen, etc. She had to put me in touch with another department of Fedex. I explained the same thing to a different woman and she said someone would be by tomorrow to pick up the wrong delivery. After that, she was trying to hang up, but I told her I still needed the package I ordered. She asked for tracking, and I told her it was the tracking number of the urine samples. Then I had to wait while she looked up the shipment. Her reply was, "Your package was delivered at 6:04 P.M. You might want to ask your neighbors if they saw a package since you're claiming you don't have it." I then told her the "package" was the urine samples and that my original package would keep showing up delivered because it was the same tracking number. She still didn't seem to understand and ended up telling me she would have to check with the shipping department and get back with me. Thankfully, the security company is sending me a replacement free of charge. There's no telling where my original order is right now. And to make it even weirder, the complete tracking info from Fedex is the correct route from the security company in Virginia to my home in NC, so I'm not sure how I got a package from Louisiana with the exact same tracking. So all that to say, anymore news about the missing page?
  13. Haha nice Breaking Bad reference. Blocked the new name too.
  14. Haha I hope he keeps responding. This is so entertaining.
  15. I really really hope the shop I'm going to Friday isn't sold out.
  16. I might've sent my grades in too early. I should've waited for the smaller scans to be posted.
  17. Damn. What a psycho buyer! He B-Locked! X 1,000,000 Seriously, who has time to do this mess? If he has time to do that he is probably just waiting and sitting there counting down the milliseconds for his precious book to ship... The seller should have communicated something (or maybe there is a reason) but this guy is the epitome of self-entitled nerd. Communication is always key, but since the seller had the handling time switched to five days, he might've been somewhere that didn't allow him to check e-mails or get online. Since I don't have a store, I changed the handling time on my items when I went on vacation in the mountains. We had a cabin with "wi-fi," but we never could get online. So there could be reasons he wasn't able to respond to the buyer.
  18. His response made me laugh. I was the first person to comment, but I deleted after thinking that it had my full name.
  19. Wow. I'm definitely blocking him after watching the video. You should've commented on it.
  20. That was a helluva find, but I question the claim there's only 25 of these out there? I've owned two at the same time not that long ago; still very, very rare and hard-to-find. Did you read the article? It said the first 25 winners received the silver foil. And then a little further down, it reads "It has been suggested that more that 25 of the silver foil variants may have been produced but, whilst this is certainly possible, there is no direct evidence of this." Well, how can you prove there's more without having seeing >25 at once, or having someone directly involved in the manufacturing chime in? Anyways, my point is, compared to other items of apparent rarity of 25 or less, they seem to pop-up much more frequently. Again, I've owned two at the same time, purchased from different venues at different times - just anecdotally opinion. I see what you're saying. I just posted to clarify that the article didn't state the 25 produced as fact. They admitted it's possible there were more manufactured.

  22. Looks like gold and red foil are pretty cheap, but the only silver listed on eBay currently is $1200. Nice pickup!
