The Little People is a tough book in high grade. That was probably a good deal.

It's over 550 that it gets REALLY tough in my experience, I've got 28 books from 501-550 but only 10 from 551-599.
Yes, and that last run of 50 books is almost all nurses...

Album Comics in Paris is fantastic. Great shop - not far from Notre Dame. 67 Boulevard Saint-Germain ..
Yes, great shop. It's mostly French graphic novels but that's okay because there are some very cool French graphic novels. And most of them are hardcovers.

Alright, LARGE batch of Ace D-series in today. Paging @Randall Dowling, another nurse book somehow slipped into the order:
The D-series over 500 are really, tough books. Nice work, Eric!!

Slightly higher grade, I suppose......(sorry for all the bag glare, but the pic was taken for another reason, and I recalled having it on my hard drive since I didn't feel like digging it out again)....but I have also added a pic of the even more difficult to find 1965 Male Annual which not only includes PCat's first appearance, but also the unadulterated and unretouched original Wallace Wood rendition, that had been embellished and futzed with in the Pussycat One-shot....Enjoy, Oh BOY!!!
Male Annual 3 is punishing to find any copy at all. I think yours is a little nicer than my copy.

True, but those aren't vintage. If we start posting newer books, the next thing you know @Randall Dowling will be showing off his Sweet Valley High set

A lot of great mags in this thread. Surprised no one has grabbed a couple of these as they're pretty tough books to find in any condition.

She will likely never be able to move on knowing that her actions had so much influence on him. Yes, it's "her story" and all that, but somewhere out there there is a woman defending herself by building up a psychological wall over all of this - which is not good for your brain or your soul. I sure as Hell wouldn't feel terribly good about someone doing something drastic like that over the result of something I said - even if I was right.
Sucks all around.
You stated it exactly correctly- "permanent solution to a temporary problem"
Having known a couple people that ended their own life (and some friends that had family members do so also), one of the most surprising things to me about suicide is that, in many cases, it's an act of both shame and blame. Or put differently, depression and rage. The world has let them down and they're both sad and angry about it.
At least one of the people I knew of, left a very angry note behind. It was filled with accusations and blame for people in their life, much of which was just very misplaced. But that didn't stop the family members from feeling really, really awful and responsible for it. Permanently scarred.
As you said, sucks all around.
OPEN MESSAGE TO ANYONE STRUGGLING WITH THESE THOUGHTS: If anyone reading this is ever in such a dark place, I highly recommend you find someone, anyone, to share what you're hurting over. Tell them as much as you can and listen to their response. Let go of your certainty and try to open up to other possibilities. It's really, really hard, but I promise you won't regret it. It's a big world, and there's always a place to find and restart if necessary. Don't give up, more people care than you probably think.

You know better than anyone how tough that book is in high grade. At most, I think I've owned a half dozen copies over the years, only one of which would meet your exacting standards!

Trying to find issues of “West” with the Zorro stories can be a pain as well. Some names were just never designed with internet searches in mind.
Also, if you think it's bad how many results you get from general names like West and Crime, you should see what I have to sift through when I'm looking for back issues of "All Man" magazine. Takes a little getting used to.
(This is an example of what I'm looking for, but a man has to look at a lot of other man material to find it).

Exactly. In order to catch copies in the wild, you have to sift through the phone book on a regular basis. Which I'm prepared to do, if necessary.

Someone just messaged me a pretty valid concern. Curious what others think. If all sales of "Vintage Paper" are quarantined to the Pulp forum, that's a pretty big loss of traffic for potential new collectors to find.
Given the increasing interest in these collectibles, seems like it makes some sense to allow old books, magazines, and pulps to still be listed in the GA/SA/BA forum, much like how original art is often sold outside of that forum in the various other sales areas. More exposure is better, IMO.

-
This is similar to how MyComicShop has a section called "Vintage Paper" that has Pulps, digests, paperbacks, men's mags, detective mags, etc., all in one place.

I have a question. Can we get by with just 1 sub forum, for all pulps and TPB's? If not, please give examples/reasons why.
Mike, are you thinking a sub-forum in the "Comics Market - Forum Only Selling Area"? As in, alongside "mixed", "CA/MA", "GA/SA/BA", etc.? If so, I think that could work quite well.
I always assumed it would be a subforum of the pulp forum, kind of like the original art forum. But I'm fine in either case.

Robert O. Saber is Milton K. Ozaki:

Lots of novels, a little work in the detective pulps/crime digests.
He's referring to the cover artist, yes? And you're correct, of course, about Ozaki's pseudonym.
