  1. I concur the transparencies you see on ebay were not used in the printing of the comic. they were made to defraud the buyer. please don't buy anything like this.
  2. the size of the cover is the big tip off they never drew covers that small in the 40.s. also. I have never seen white out that look so white while being over 70 years old. no way. I have art with white out from 20 years don't look that white. so yeah. a decent looking fake. but no way this is the real deal. just look at what he is selling. nothing he has is real.
  3. some people just don't give up. ebay is the only place he can get away with this same ol lame story about buying this stuff in an art fair. he has been on ebay for years and everything he sells comes from an art fair on the street, please give me a break. it a shame you just email the bidders and tell them the stuff is fake.
  4. wow. you mean there is a thing called justice. thanks for the hard work kav, now we have dush-bagg on the ropes. hopefully we can go for the knock-out. and shut this guy down for good.
  5. the bottom line is ebay is too big to really care. when you sell million of dollars worth of goods daily. a lot of fakes will not be caught. and ducoso is counting on that. something like would never take place in a comic art auction. as the item would be pulled the day it spotted. so until ebay get smart. this guy will keep passing these phony pieces off on ebay.
  6. all I have to say is if you bid 2000 bucks on a piece of art when the person have zero feedback. you are too trusting of a person. he,s going to be real sad when he finds out it a fake. ;[
  7. I reported them as well. I guess we will see what happens.
  8. yes. please stay away from that . it is not production art. I don't care what they say. just save your money and buy the real thing. paper with ink or pencils. all transparencie,s should be burned.
  9. great podcast felix. I really enjoyed them. so looking forward to the next ones. I think a nice thought for future show could be artist that collect comic art. like terry Austin or scott willams.. also some interviews maybe with some of the masters of comics. wrightson. kaluta. Windsor smith. etc. thanks. larry.
  10. I love biz. early stuff. as iam a big fan of lobo and judge dredd.. all artist grow to a certain degree. some for the better some not. but for me if I was going buy any of his artwork. it would for sure be something vintage from biz.
  11. and yet he still got ripped off, he over paid by 98 cent.
  12. wow it is not even a good fake! I don't know why the family do not go after these guys. i guess someone will tell the bidder one day that he has a fake. and maybe he can do a charge back.
  13. ducoso. will sell fakes as long as ebay keep watching with there eyes closed as they have nobody there that knows anything about comic art. and I just feel sorry for anybody that get took by this guy. as most people that buy this stuff think they see a coa and its got to be real. as for the maroto,s clearly they are recreations. by him nice but I never been a fan of recreations. if I cant have the original, then I don't want it. but to each there own..
  14. wow. great thread. it was a pleasure seeing all the great art and books. yeah that is a man cave to die for. thanks for sharing. ;] larry .
  15. that,s pretty cool. I use to own that cover I sold it on ebay a few years ago. I got directly from tim dzon right after the book was published. he lived just a few streets over from me in detriot. thanks for sharing. glad to see someone else get some enjoyment out of it. larry;]
