true but I wish I had bought it for $13k three years back. I've seen the book in hand a few times and it is pretty "nice" for a .5. The tape adds character of well loved years . The paper is not brittle too which is a plus Yeah Brian told me he got it here on the boards and found that link. He got it exactly 3 years ago to date. Pretty good roi for him. And glad at least it's pretty "nice" for a .5... It's pretty expensive for a book that looks like that has been ran through the mud

So, the seller doesn't have to do his own "due diligence" in telling a prospective buyer the same thing? -slym Someone viewing the thread isn't considered a prospective buyer. Any one who had serious inquiries about the book got serious responses. Ricky

I think if someone is selling a book that you are interested I would assume you would do your own due diligence before buying. If you want the book real bad but the seller tells you it's on the way from comic connect pay me when I ship it out, what's wrong with that? No one is holding a gun to your head to buy it! Wow people get so worked up for such small things

Rick, This copy really presents well for the grade. Very nice Thanks Keith! From an original owner collection and great PQ and if graded any higher id probably not have been able to afford it

Any one who has a cap 1 is a lucky duck.. There was a cap 1 on comic connect for a few months for 23 500 but after the auction the other day it was bumped up to 27500.. And sold today for 25k!

Yeah that sounds about right. I'm lucky that Toastys still got his 1.0 and we are in talks to wrap up the deal!!

Hey all Was looking to make an investment into a good pre robin tec. There is a tec 29 1.5 on mycomicshop.com Now I know the whole story behind this book (sparklecity 1.0 and then regarded to a 1.5) It sold for 9600 back in March 2012 wouldn't 11,500 be a decent price for this? Thanks all...

Nope.. I bought this from the original owner of the book. It's a new label and was just graded.
