I still have a pull file at my LCS that I’ve been going to for 15 years. It’s down to about 6 titles. I used to go every wed and I’d have 6-8 titles a week but since about 2018 or so I have cut back huge. My main issue is the price to entertainment ratio. Like many have already stated, 3.99, 4.99, 5.99 for 6 mins a mediocre story is just not doing it. I’ll probably cut down my list more. I enjoy getting 70s and 80s back issues for a buck or 2 and read those. I also enjoy reading fiction novels and books on military/war topics. I can go to a half price book store and get a 400 page book for 3.99 and get more value out of that.

Nice. When I lived in Omaha I went almost every wed for about 12 years. I moved an hour south into Iowa and I still go there but only about twice a month.

Great report. I live two and a half hours away and went two years ago on a Sunday. Going the last day and bringing cash you can get some decent deals. I thought about going this year all the way up until a couple days before it started and talked myself out of it. The $50ish price tag for the last day is kind of high imo. Looks like there was more comic dealers this year then when I went in 2021 which makes me wish I went I see Dave from Krypton Comics in one of the dealer pics. That’s my “Home” LCS. Good people.

Numbers update 1/1/2023 29-38 Cat woman Vol 5 (Ram V). Decent story, nothing to write home about. Art was pretty good. I liked it, stopping there at 38 as the writer and arc is changing and I only wanted to read it for Ram V. Batman vol 3 109-128 I really liked the art. The story was pretty good imo. 1036-1064. Batman Detective Comics Vol 3. They changed artist mid way through this batch to Viktor Bogdanovic and wasn’t a fan. They keep changing the artist every couple of issues which is annoying but ,most where good. The story was okay. Typical modern story, nothing that wowed me but it was effective. Swamp Thing Vol 7 (Ram V) #1-16 Spider-Man Life Story annual 1 Moon knight vol 9 #1-15 House of slaughter #1 Batman The Long Halloween Special One Shot (2021) Fantastic Four Life story #2 Flash Vol 5 #777-786 This series is getting kinda of boring might drop from pull file Ice cream man #27-32 Loving this series so weird yet each issue pulls me in. Defenders vol 6 #1-5 5 issue mini Meh glad it’s over Death of dr strange #1-5. Not a bad 5 issue mini Hulk vol 3 #1-8 Still on the fence with this. Venom vol 5 1-7 same as the hulk not hooked yet, might drop this series Saga #55-60 it’s Saga, what more can you say great double size issue after a crazy three year break love this book. BKV said in the letter section this will go to 108 issues! Newburn #1-8 Not a bad little crime book I like Chip Zdarskys work but I’m not 100% sold on this one yet Nocterra #1-11 Love the art (Tony S Daniel) and I like most stuff by Scott Snyder. Short version below, He had a Neal Adams sketch slabbed and CGC sent it USPS even though FedEx is set as preferred. USPS lost it and can’t find it. CGC said the switch in shipping carrier was a “glitch”. Second, George Perez sketch sent to CGC with a batch of books through a facilitator. Books get graded and boxed up around the time Mr Perez passes away. Shipping label created but box of graded sketch covers never gets picked up, no tracking info and CGC can’t find the box.

Got a couple of Perez Wonder Woman books from Dave, great seller with secure and proper packaging. Always a smooth transaction.

Finished two more transactions with Derek in aug. Books are always in great shape. Fast shipping and great packaging. Easily the best if not among the top sellers on these boards
