I've seen some AF15s at 1.5 that look worse with rat chews and other severe defects. I don't think the defects are so bad to warrant an 0.5.

Ask 15k CAD

Don’t have much experience with knowing how to grade low grade books with chunk of the cover missing.  Please let  me know what your thoughts are on grade.  I will be getting more photos but this what I have so far until the others come in  Its complete unrestored.  The seller says its a 1.0 Ask 15k CAD
 

Hi everyone,  

I just wanted to share some sad news.  Rich Homer from Extreme Collectables has passed away.  I did not know him personally but I did frequent his comic live sales on FB and bought a lot of books from him. I just wanted to share just in case anyone else followed his shows and wondered what happened. His family just posted about his passing on his FB page Extreme Collectables.  I am sure he was also a member on these boards.

 My copy which I own since 2012 had white pages and was slabbed a few years prior to that.  I just sent it in to see if I would get a grade bump.  Came back white pages.

Please help me grade this. All your help appreciated.  Description

It is Bright & Vivid with all the original gloss to the covers. The interior pages a just as nice  with a slightly off white colour and vivid inks.Staples are Solid & Tight.The only noticeable defect is a small scuff/chip in the top left back cover and a bit of faint yellowing on the back. When I was taking photos, I picked up a defect you can’t see on 1st inspection. If you look straight on you really can’t see it so it does not show up in the scans (pictures with blue background - photos have black backgrounds). But if you hold it off to the side to look (shows in the photos because the light source was in from in front and off to the top right ie at an angle) you can see a faint rectangle (about 1/2” x 2 1/2”) starting at the P in Spider-man and running down to Spidey’s left shoulder. The bottom of the rectangle is not seen at all and the top & right side is pretty much invisible- you really have to hold it up to the light and move the comic around to see it. The left side of the rectangle can be seen faintly

Hoping to get some opinions on this ASM Annual #1 which is a canadian variant.  Please let me know what grade you think it is.  No clue how to price it.  What I see. 
 

 In my opinion, the comic is an very attractive copy. Giant Size spine is square with no obvious faults. Inside the staples are totally sound and the pages are an off-white with very bright inks. Front Cover is Bright and Crisp but with a a faint touch of yellowing. Slight wear along the front cover bottom. Back cover shows a bit of wear and a slight yellowing with a small reddish stain towards the top right. Main defect of the comic is a missing chip out of the bottom left of back cover corner and another intact chip to the immediate right. The back page of the comic also has the same defects (only the last page, no others). Otherwise I can’t see any discernible problems.

I was hoping someone could tell me what is more desirable.  I have the opportunity to get a really high grade ASM Annual #1.   This I believe is a canadian copy because of the white blank copy. Is this more desirable or less desirable?  Any info is appreciated.

I was sorting my ASM run and I noticed that I have two ASM 143 but the background Colours differ.  One is blue while the other is purple.  Is this a printing error?  What colour is it supposed to be.  Thanks in advance for your feedback

Ok so any good presser or cleaning in the US

I just order it all from ebay.  Bit the bullet.  Cost 150$ USD all in for 200 mylars and 200 Full backs.  I needed them so it is what it is.   I think Mylars are a must for protection, time saving for changing bags and the look they give
