I'm kicking myself for not picking up Harbinger 1 in CGC 9.8 for $290 before the movie announcement. I kept thinking the price would go lower since sales had been trending down. Now I'd gladly buy a Harbinger 1 CGC 9.8 for $290. Guess my CGC 9.4 will have to do for a while!

Glad to see all the Valiant interest. You guys are making us proud over at Valiantfans.com. Although it's driven by movie hype, it's nice to see people talking about VALIANT again. Now check out some of the new stuff, it's great!

I'd buy a glossy copy if I came across one, but I wouldn't pay a premium for it. I do like that "mutant" Rai 0. Quite the smudge!

Well I'm a big VALIANT collector and I don't feel the need to go out and own a Rai 0 Glossy. I don't feel there is a significant enough difference, but maybe that's just me.

How did you determine how much to add? Is this the kind of thing I can figure out and set once or will it be different for each slab? Thanks. I'm a complete scanning/editing noob.

Here is the same Chew 1 sharpened. Any of you pros have any suggestions for the colors?

I received my Microtek i700 today. It works great and was cheap on eBay. Here are a couple of scans at 150 dpi with default color settings in Vuescan. I think they turned out pretty good and will probably get better as I play with the color settings. I picked a predominately white book and one with more color to better compare the images. You can see some of the lint on the scanner glass. I just need to clean the glass with a lint free cloth and it comes right off. I just haven't done a good job with it yet.

Scanner will be delivered on Monday. I'll post scans Monday evening. I'm excited to see how the i700 performs.

I just picked up a used Microtek i700. Haven't received it yet, but it was cheap enough to take a risk. I plan on using it with a Windows 7 machine and Vuescan. I will let you all know how it works out.

Nice books! I wish I had the quid to buy the Issue 1!

I have a couple of CGC 9.8s that I wouldn't never have submitted to CGC as I think they are 9.6s. In my eye this is mainly due to corner blunting and damage.

I love the Talent Valiant has working with them now. The Valiant relaunch is amazing. If you guys haven't checked them out you should!
