I've had that problem and followed those steps. They do work when the piece locks. One thing that I would make sure to do when using the HP ScanJet is to not use it until it is warmed up and the green light is on. Good luck

This might be a better question to ask in "The Signature Room" since the people in there are into sketch covers. You can also join sketch cover Facebook groups to get an idea of what others have done on those covers. It is tough to say what to get on those covers because you are the one that will have it in your collection (unless your thought is to flip them). Using the front and back cover could make a larger scene happen on the cover. The other idea is to have a sketch done with important milestones in Action Comics and Grayson. For example the death of Grayson or marriage of Superman and Lois Lane.

Popeye turns 95 today, show us some comics!
Greengiant replied to DavidTheDavid's topic in Comics General
Really wish they were able to make this movie. Could have been a great resurgence of Popeye interest. https://youtu.be/i4tNuM9XttM?si=V2g19Xp8m6V4s3h8 -
Welcome to the Signature Room. Honestly your best option is to find a CGC Retailer that will also be available at the convention. Since your slabbed comics will need to be cracked open for the signatures, it is safer to trust someone who had experience cracking open slabbed comics. Also don't bet on receiving the same grade that you got on the comic.

Breaking the Slab Seal For A Signature?
Greengiant replied to IronLungs31's topic in The Signature Room
The easiest way for it to be authenticated by CGC is that Victor would sign the book and then complete CGC Signature Series paperwork. Since he is the artist, he is verifying that it is his signature to them. If you look at his Facebook posts, he posts about sending paperwork for his Beetlejuice covers. -
Did you ask him about the three seashells?

Breaking the Slab Seal For A Signature?
Greengiant replied to IronLungs31's topic in The Signature Room
1. He has a very active Facebook page. Reach out to him and see if he would break the case, sign it and submit it for you to CGC 2. There is no guarantee that having it signed and re-graded will come back as a 9.9. The original people that determined the grade of that comic may not be the ones that grade it when re-submitting it. It's Russian Roulette. -
This is my first remarked comic. Previously was not into remarked comics but this was a great (and affordable) option from Joe Prado.

Got this Domino sketch back from ComicSketchArt event they held with Ken Lashley. He was on my list for some time and glad to put this to my collection.

The series was good and is a shame that HBO/Max decided to cancel it. Don't know how close it follows the books since I didn't read them. But made me more interested in the books.

Paul Reubens, Pee-wee Herman actor, dies at 70
Greengiant replied to Tec-Tac-Toe's topic in Comics General
I remember the HBO special and Phil Hartman played Captain Carl. I hope now they are together coming up with skits with Pee Wee Herman and Captain Carl. -
Why not crack open the Deadpool #1 and have him sign it?

With Kickstarter and Indigogo, people that are publishing their book is putting the cost in for printing and shipping the book. Also, they feel they can charge the cost because you are not just getting the book but all of these extras with the book (stickers, bookmark, fridge magnet) with the main character on all of those items.

Was thinking of getting the same characters from him when he's at the East Coast shows this summer

Best shops to visit around Myrtle Beach?
Greengiant replied to serling1978's topic in Comics General
I've been to "Step Back Into Time" and gives a flea market vibe. There's some comics, records, cards and action figures. Pretty much Copper comics from what I remember. Above I talk about Player's Choice. It is in a dwindling mall but has an retro arcade with black lights. Could spend so much time there but always family responsibilities when there. -
Post your Garage Sale/Flea Market/Antique Mall Finds Here

Won a couple of books from an estate sale and picked them up over the weekend. Now I have to determine who I can sketch on the Darkchylde: Redemption cover. -
I agree. The last that I saw was last years NYCC. He would charge different amounts depending on the book that he signed (NM90 vs. NM98). Also he would make a remark of a Deadpool head. I look at it as it is your money to spend. If you want to pay for it, then go ahead and if not then your money goes elsewhere.

Funko pops to pitch 30M of inventory into a landfill!
Greengiant replied to Robot Man's topic in Comics General
The problem with the game is that you couldn't tell what you had to do, unless you read the instructions which gave you the steps to complete the game. But who reads the instructions.
