    Does CGC Have A "Second Look" Service?

    Hi!

    This is in regards to Submission 4124199.  Now you have to understand, I am very meticulous about the books I send in for grading.  Even using a magnifying glass to look for flaws. So when the above mentioned submission status changed to Shipped and I saw the grades, I was like, "What the heck?"  Line item 4 in particular.  I thought was a sure fire 9.8 but it instead it received a 9.4?  Now I realize grader notes are put in at the discretion of the grader but they would have really helped here to help me understand why the 9.4.

    Yesterday, my Submission arrived on my doorstep.  I immediately looked at all the slabs and now I'm even more confused.  All of these books look immaculate.  There are no spine creases, corner dings, print burns, etc.  The only odd thing I noticed was that they were all encapsulated in holders far too large for the books' size.

    The only conclusion I can come up with is, "Was the grader for this submission having a bad day and decided to take it out on my books?

    Circling back to the main question - Does CGC have a Second Look service?  Especially for that 9.4?

    Thank you, then it's not just me.  I've also been told the graders will correct it but like you say it's not always done.  I've always had to intervene and call CGC.  And if you get a response something akin to "Well, we'll pass this on to our Verification Team."  WHY is there a need for a Verification Team.  Shouldn't the Verification Team be the graders?!?  Regarding your Mark Jewelers designation, if it was on your packing slip but not described as such in Submission Tracking, I would call CGC right away.

    I don't know if this happens to anyone else but I would highly suggest when your submissions hit Submission Tracking that you check to see if what's listed in your Submission Tracking matches what you put down on your packing slip.  If you don't, it's a recipe for an ME.

    I submit a small number of books at a time and far too often these past several MONTHS, there is always one book or two from my packing list that is changed to something totally different when it hits SFG or GEI.  I ask why this keeps happening and I've yet to receive any kind of explanation.

    To illustrate, I've attached an example of a packing slip with the books listed and what they were ALL changed to when they got to GEI.

    Surprise, surprise.  Just received notice that 4 of my 6 slabs are now available for consignment.  The only thing puzzling is what happened with the remaining 2?  Well, something is better than nothing!

    Does Stadium Comics Have A Presence On The CGC Boards?

    Does anyone happen to know if Stadium Comics has a presence on these boards?  I have a few outstanding orders with them and I've e-mailed them several times with zip in the way of responses.  And their website says they're open only 1 day a week (Wednesday)?  And you call the number on their website and it says if you questions about online orders, to e-mail them!

    I was just wondering if anyone physically shops at their store or if there's something going on with them?

    Any feedback would be appreciated.  Thanks.
