  3. Here's a few more things that will be in the auction that I don't believe have been listed yet. Hopefully everything will be listed by Tuesday and the auction is scheduled to go live at 10 a.m. on Saturday, August 21st. Also just wanted to say Thank You to everyone who has checked it out. If you have any questions for the auction house, A Ok Auction Gallery LLC. you can contact them on Facebook, their website or by telephone at (276) 676-0009
  4. A Ok Auction Gallery LLC. has listed some more of my collection on Auction Zip. https://www.auctionzip.com/VA-Auctioneers/236706.html There's still more to be listed, but it's getting interesting the more they add. I believe that everyone who bids and wins on the lots will be happy with what they receive.
  5. I was told by the auction house that they will post the entire collection sometime next week. I believe that they are currently in contact with regular customers of the auction house and have only posted a few books in order to gain interest in the auction before the actual day of the live/online auction. Like I've stated before, they have been doing this for several years and appear to know what they are doing as they auction off comic book collections (most considerably bigger and more valuable than mine) on a regular basis. I would have preferred that they listed the entire collection at once, but they do things a certain way for a reason. They appear to have successful auctions and have confidence in their auction procedure as the better the auction does the more profit they generate for both themselves and the customer consigning the collection with them. I've followed (and attended) their auctions for several years and they appear to have been in business for several decades so they must know something about the auction business. I hope that as many collectors as possible attend the auction in person and online, as there will be many items of interest in the auction to comic book collectors, but if people have reservations then I completely understand and it will just mean that the people attending will have a chance to get a better deal with less people bidding. I believe that the people who continue to watch the auction and finally see the entire collection listed will be pleasantly surprised and those who bid and win lots will be happy with their purchase. Hopefully those that participate in the auction will be pleased with the experience and continue to attend future auctions with the A Ok Auction Gallery LLC.
  6. I've spoken with several people who have both sold and bought comics and collectables from A Ok Auction Group LLC. and there hasn't been any issues that I'm aware of from any of the parties involved. I'd hope that as many collectors as possible would bid on this auction, but if not then I understand. Personally, I feel better buying comics and collectables from an auction house like A Ok that I've observed and attended auctions at for the last several years than some random person on the internet or eBay who doesn't have a reputation or established business that will more than likely be around for the rest of their lifetime and isn't a "here today, gone tomorrow" business. I choose to consign my collection to A Ok because numerous families of local collectors and even comic shop owners have chosen to use them after the collectors and LCS owners have passed away with great success. My experience thus far with A Ok has been exceptional. The staff came to my house, packaged up my collection and transported it to their auction house where they currently have it stored and are sorting it for the auction
  7. Here's a few more things from the collection that will be in the auction. I bought just about every comic that I saw so the collection is pretty diverse.
  8. Won't do any good to PM me but I'm sure that the auction house, A Ok Auction Gallery LLC, will be more than happy to answer any questions by telephone (276-676-0009), email, their website or their Facebook page. Alan Shupe is in charge of the auction and I'm sure that he's hoping that as many people as possible participate in the auction. I'm new to selling comics as I've mainly been buying them since around 1978 and seriously collecting them since 1984 when the first comic book store opened up in the small city near where I lived. Ever since 1978 I've been buying comic books from grocery stores, gas stations, comic shops, out of the back of comic book advertisements (Mile High Comics), flea markets, yard sales and trading with my friends. Over the years in my adult life I was in the United States Air Force and bought comic books at all of the places I was stationed, TDY and deployed to during my career.
