  1. I got this back a couple of weeks ago. It was my first submission to CGC. Was hoping for a 9.8, but I'll settle with a 9.6.
  2. AC contacted me Thursday night, and told me that my ASM #300 would be graded with the signature series label, and would be in my hands in 2 weeks. Sorry for hijacking your thread, but I was only answering a question someone asked about facilitator, McFarlane, and grading with what I experienced. Didn't mean for your thread to go this sideways. Thanks for everyone's help!
  3. Yes, NYComics was NOT involved in this fiasco, it was Anastasia's Collectibles. In your first original posting in this topic, you had yourself and AC as the facilitators of Todd McFarlane, but later, edited your post to delete AC. Do you know why McFarlane dropped them? I've been trying to get ahold of Derek Tan of AC for the past few weeks, but he has not returned any of my messages or emails. Someone that read my posting in this topic, pointed one of the CGC moderators to me, and he looked to see if my ASM #300 was at CGC, he said it wasn't, and would try to help me in contacting AC. Even though NYComics was not involved with this fiasco, this makes facilitators look bad. Is there anything that NYComics can do (since you're a Todd McFarlane facilitator as well), to help me track down Derek Tan of AC? Any and all help is appreciated.
  4. Here's the whole story: Went to Comic Con Palm Springs in Aug 2016, to get Stan Lee's signature and to get the signature series label. Saw that Todd McFarlane was showing up to the con on the last day, so I decided to bring my Amazing Spider-Man #300 for both of them to sign. Both Stan Lee AND Todd McFarlane signed my comic on the same day. AC told me that Todd was having a private signing at his Phoenix store in November, and that they could not send anything in to CGC until then, and that they would hold onto my comic until the private signing, then they would submit my comic to CGC.
  5. I went to the Palm Springs Comic Con August 2016, to get Stan Lee to sign a comic. Before the con, I heard rumors that McFarlane was showing up for the last day. The CGC witness for Stan Lee was Anastasia's Collectibles, and so, I brought my ASM #300 to get both Stan Lee's and McFarlane's autograph under the Signature Series label. Anastasia told me that they would not be able to send my comic into CGC until McFarlane did a signing at his Phoenix store in November of 2016, and would hold it til then. They told me that I should get my comic back from CGC by February 28 2017, if not, to contact Anastasia. I have not gotten it back yet, and will be emailing Anastasia's Collectibles in the next couple of days.
  6. Will be seeing him for the first time at Comic Con Palm Springs Aug 26-28. Planning on getting him sign my Amazing Spider-Man 300. What would you suggest I have him sign it with, if not a sharpie? Depends on what he is signing, if it wasn't a busy cover maybe a extra fine sharpie or even better Sakura Pigma Micron (archival ink), with a busier cover like ASM 300 I have switched over to Sharpie Extreme's Fine only (better pigment and more fade resistant). I won't touch Metallic's they are very inconsistent and with how hard Stan pushes down, they tend to look washed out. I also like Sakura Pentouch Paint Pen if you want a metallic sig (archival and acid free paint), they also look very sharp on books, but with Stan I would be wary of paint as well. On HC books or the splash page of a comic I tend to have him sign with the Pigma Micron or a pen (uni ball jetsream or Bic pro+), don't like the look of a sharpie inside a book. I hope that helps. I apply all of these strategies with celeb autographs and a lot of the same info is available on those and the sports autograph forums. which have been doing this longer than us in the comic forum. Also, not only do I want something that is sharp, but will have some longetivity and reduced fading over time. Thanks for the advice Canuck!
