Read Usagi Volume 15 "Grasscutter II: Journey to Atsuta Shrine" (174 pages).
A harrowing adventure and many epic battles with competing ninja clans that leads to a successful conclusion.
This is as far as I've read in Usagi Yojimbo. Interested to see what happens next.

Read Usagi Volume 14 "Demon Mask" (222 pages).
A nice collection of stories including Mystery of Demon Mask, The Inn on Moon Shadow Hill, Deserters, Potter's Tale, Kumo, and Reunion where Usagi is reunited with Gennosuke and Sanshobo just in time to repel a hoard of assassins.

Read Usagi Volume 12 "Grasscutter" (246 pages). This was the first volume of Usagi I ever read and is a favorite. It tells the back story of a sacred sword.
There is a plot to recover the lost sword and use it to overthrow the shogun and reinstate the emperor. It falls in the hands of Usagi then the demon Jei.
Who eventually is on the receiving end of it in a fierce battle to the death with Usagi.
This is the third time Usagi has defeated Jei, but the "blade of the gods" always returns. Will this time be different?

I didn't start reading & collecting comics until I was an adult. My first trip to a local comic shop was 3/12/2001. Bought these three comics.
This selection was mostly based on what I watched on TV - Super Friends and The Incredible Hulk as a kid and Futurama as an adult.

Read Usagi Yojimbo Saga book 1 comprised of volumes 8-10 (590 pages pages from UY 1-16 volume 2 and UY 1-6 volume 3).
Many great stories including a crossover with the TMNT.
A possible new love interest - Chizu from the Neko ninja clan.
An old love interest from his past - Princess Kinuko.
Teaming up with a new mysterious bounty hunter - Stray Dog.
And, as always, more duels to the death ☠️ - with Usagi always winning.
Lots of fun samurai action.

Somehow it makes me feel a little safer knowing AI tech is too stupid to realize when it sounds like a scammer.
Although....I'd never say that to its face if it's carrying a phased plasma rifle in a 40-watt range.
Give it time to iterate. We'll get there.

Read Usagi Yojimbo volume 4 (179 pages from UY 13-18 volume 1).
"The Dragon Bellow Conspiracy" is my favorite Usagi storyline that I've read. Wonderful story and art full of action.
Bounty hunter Murikami Gennosuke looses his horn in combat with the blind warrior pig Zato Ino.
And the story builds to an explosive climax.

Started reading Usagi Yojimbo from the beginning (Albedo #2).
I've read quite a bit of Usagi before but it's been a few years and I'd like to see if I can read through to present this year. I started this same challenge in 2020 but quickly got derailed during the pandemic.

Read Tintin and the Picaros (1976) for the first time.
Tintin, Captain Haddock, and Professor Calculus get drawn into political intrigue when their friends Bianca Castafiore and the Thom(p)son are arrested in San Theodoras for espionage. They end up teaming up with their old acquaintance General Alcazar and the Picaros to lead a coup d’état in the Latin American country and foil the plot of their old enemy from Borduria Colonel Sponsz during carnival.
This is the last completed Hergé Tintin adventure and so my year of reading Tintin comes to a close (and just in the nick of time).

Read Flight 714 to Sydney (1968) for the first time.
An interesting adventure where the team hitch a ride on a millionaire's jet to Sydney only to find themselves kidnapped and back in the clutches of....
Rastapopoulos! (and Allan)
Tintin foils their plot, they rescue the millionaire, and things get rather explosive.
But they are saved with some special help. Truly an adventure that's out of this world.

Read The Castafiore Emerald (1962) for the first time.
Recurring character Italian singer Bianca Castafiore visits Captain Haddock and Tintin at Marlinespike Hall (much to their chagrin). Humorous situations, misunderstandings, and intrigue follow leading to the theft of her prized emerald. Thompson and Thomson are on the case but Tintin cracks it as usual.
