  1. Agreed. Maybe this board can lead the charge. Wonder if Todd McFarlane, Kevin Smith or Neal Adams have seen the Bleeding Cool footage/Photo Op results from the Silicon Valley Con?
  2. If all things were equal, I would agree. But they are not. Look at some of the signatures he put out at the most recent show (other Topic had some doozies). He is being told over and over in one video as things are passed in front of him "STAN LEE....STAN LEE.....STAN LEE.....STAN LEE" like they are re-affirming to him what his name is. Look at some of the photo op pictures from Bleeding Cool. $120-$150 is plain robbery by his handlers, and it should be stopped. If he wants to sit around and say hi to people for 1/2 a day for free, sure go for it.
  3. Four Awesome Comic Books, totally ruined.
  4. No. This is a huge change from Stan Lee I saw 2 years ago. He is obviously on a serious decline, and he should be resting. The photo op's that Bleeding Cool posted were scary. He looks bewildered, and confused. Time to retire. Time for us to let him ride off into the sunset.
  5. So the guy in the goofy suit and hat just says 'Stan Lee'...........'Stan Lee'...........'Stan Lee'...........'Stan Lee'........with every item passed in front of him. Report Elder Abuse Each California County has an Adult Protective Services (APS) agency to help elder adults (65 years and older) and dependent adults (18-64 who are disabled), when these adults are unable to meet their own needs, or are victims of abuse, neglect or exploitation. County APS agencies investigate reports of abuse of elders and dependent adults who live in private homes, apartments, hotels or hospitals .
  6. From what I can tell, in the little I have read, she seems like a ditz. The difference between Stan in 2016 and Stan 2018 is glaring. He just doesn't seem himself from the video footage, and pictures in the Bleeding Cool Link. He looks, disoriented, disinterested, and exhausted.
  7. Ok. This has gone to 'disturbing' level. Stan is not doing ok. Look at those pictures. He looks terrible. This is borderline and possibly elder abuse, handlers opinions be damned. Why pay for a photo op of that?! It's almost borderline psychotic thinking that paying for a photo with a 95 year old man, who is 1/2 awake, is a good idea. If they can't figure out a better comfort level, and better routine for this frail 95 year old legend, then shut it down. The man owes no hobbyist anything at this stage. I will never drop money into any Stan Lee event again, even if it were 1 mile from my house. I am OUT. Retire Stan....EXCELSIOR!
  8. The level of insanity that this character & these variants & first appearance arguments are, will be enough to drive mortal men to drink.
  9. Just talked to my LCS, (great guy). He said he is in the process of going through a friends collection of 30 long boxes (friend used to have a shop many years ago), he said so far he has pulled out 22 copies of NM #98.
  10. These look like your typical CGC Stan Lee Signature Series books to me....
  11. That's what I thought. I already have a mid grade, so I never got caught up in it. IM 55 - to me anyway- is severely overpriced, and is probably ripe for the biggest fall.
  12. Didn't Avengers #55 cool off a bit once Ultron came and went? This also being a Silver Age book.
  13. Friday 5/26/17 Orlando Megacon $120 blob....at least it's not on a comic
  14. The May 2017 Stan Lee experience was miserable for most, including Stan. I had gotten his autograph in 2014 and 2016 prior at Orlando Megacon, and he was upbeat, lucid, smiled, joked. Last year he seemed like a shell of himself. He seemed tired, disoriented, and probably there against his will. I'll pull mine out and give a photo, it is less than spectacular. I even passed on getting him to sign something at MegaCon Tampa last Fall, and that is in my backyard.
  15. Doubtful. I just went through about 10 long boxes at a Flea Market today & there were 3 Spawn #1's sitting in there. Nice shape. Priced at $15 each. Not my idea of scarce. Doesn't McFarlane have a pallet of #1's in his storage?
