  1. My top silver age books that I have always cherished are in order AF 15, FF 1, HULK 1, X-MEN 1, TOS 39, AVENGERS 1, AVENGERS 4, TTA 27. Still missing my JIM 83 but hoping to get one this year and place it right after my TOS 39. The coolest part is that I joined this unbelievable forum February 1st 2016 and have purchased each of those books except for my Avengers 4 (already owned it) here on the forum. It started with meeting Bunky Brian at a local comic show after being out of collecting for maybe 15 years. He told me about the forum and less than a year after that I met him at his business and purchased my AF15 and have not looked back. I have been really lucky to find myself surrounded by some great people here that I have purchased some incredible books from, sold a few good books too as well and all while soaking up valuable advice along the way. (Oops just remembered got my FF 1 through a comiclink auction but only after some great forum advice).
  2. Incredible books! I need to find my way into this club!
  3. Finally got my first Metal Men. Such a unique cover but I love the blue. Looks like a good candidate for a press and clean.
  4. Here is my copy. I love the cover of this book. It always reminds me of one of my favorite movies. The Incredible Shrinking Man. Such a great childhood memory.
  5. Thanks so much! This one was a long time coming but I made sure to take your advice on what to look for. Thanks again! AJ
  6. Mr. FedEx finally dropped this off yesterday. Third attempt! I almost missed him again. Sorry about the reflection.
  7. Wow I love your thoroughness! Everything is laid out so well even CGC notes when available and sales data.
  8. I hate missing this book over and over again. Congrats to buyer and seller.
  9. Finally got my one and only Stan book. I have never owned a signature book and have always focused more on silver keys but when Stan passed it really hit me hard and I felt I really wanted to honor him by having a book that he was truly involved in, was a Spider-Man book for sure, with a solid grade, earlier signature and good placement. I decided to aim for either ASM 39, 100 or Annual 1. After going back and forth I decided 100 was the one I needed. I have been making the rounds aggressively and am really happy with the one I got. It was priced at $900 which seemed fair when I noticed last GPA sale this month for a 7.0 went for $565 and everyone seems to have 6.0 up to 7.5 books listed between $1200-$1600 on EBay. So excited to have this book and even though all my other books are tucked away safely in the dark in boxes, this book will be out and displayed for everyone to enjoy! Just not in direct sunlight and perhaps under special glass. 😉 Thanks so much for everything you gave us Stan. You filled the world with magic and made this 47 year old man feel like a kid. May his memory forever be a blessing. RIP Stan Lee

  11. That is a beautiful copy! A little too rich for my blood but thanks. If anybody has anything between a 6.0 to a 9.0 please let me know.
  12. I found my baby! Feel free to close. Thanks! AJ Looking for a copy for myself. Love the cover and would love one book with his sig. RIP Stan Thanks, AJ
  13. Thanks J! Thanks everyone! Time to title this thread BOOKS FOUND! OK I’m ready for DISNEY to make their announcement!
  14. Damn that was quick. I missed the asking price.
  15. Thanks dem1138 and Dark Night and everyone else for the help. Like dem1138 said I might as well go after the Comic Link one because it will set the new bar. It was a little more than I wanted to spend and I really was looking for a 3.0 but for a clean 3.0 that was at least OW people were at $14k everywhere. I was lucky enough to snag the Comic Link one in the last few seconds and I love this copy. It is a 4.0, OW, no chipping, strong red lettering and monster’s mouth is nice and clean. Everyone’s guidance here really kept me on track and focused on what to look for and I thank you all! AJ
  16. Well it finally happened, I got my FF1 through the Comic Link auction yesterday. Finally got both pieces of the puzzle! Thanks for all the help and support everyone!
