Was watching an auction and when it ended I say this in the bid history. Three different bidders with the exact amount after the auction ended? Has this ever happened to anyone? Who gets the item? Is this just a rare glitch? I have so many questions, I have never seen this in my 15 years on eBay. What is going on here?

How lucky can this guy be? He has 3 different slabs that are super sketchy. Blue label incomplete book, photo copy cover from a different book and a TRIMMED!!! book plus all the other resto in a blue holder... This seller is the scam king of eBay

My mind is blown. Thank you for sharing this information. I also think the fact that he is not on the cover of AC 260 makes things worse. I have never been a huge fan of Aquaman but after learning these facts I am on the hunt for AC 260, especially after doing some research of the value. Probably the biggest might as well get it books out there.

Crazy since on top of the fact its his first SA appearance its also his origin issue. Why does it say "1st Aquaman tryout issue" on showcase 30? Why is showcase 30 also stated as his origin? Whats going on? I know very little about Aquaman but this is interesting.

Showcase #60 (First silver age appearance of the Spectre) In a world of over priced keys this book is very obtainable.

I think if it was done right it would be really cool. yes its not a perfect idea like adding sigs could be come a problem due to limited space but I still think people would like it.

and if CGC would create a sig series with label sigs I might finally buy a CGc sig book.

Regardless it still makes no sense too me. As a collector, why would you want to deface a collectible? Since its a copy of a copy of a copy... why write on it? What difference does it make as long as you have a verified signature? You still need to bring the book anyways. Not to mention if you ever crack the book out and your not getting another sig your out of luck as nobody will accept its as a verified signature anymore.

Some do, other don't. I am still baffled at why people would want marker/pen (even if written by the creator) on the book itself, especially a high grade mega key book like AF 15. Why not create a label/holder design that has an area for signatures. It would still have a verified signature in a holder just not on the book physically. I must be crazy or something

yeah nothing new, DC can't figure out how to be original even though most of the marvel characters are rip offs of their own ideas. its a sad state of affairs

Thats my point though, if say they did the superman story line from the the Superman Animated series then it would be a much different tone. I agreed that doing the same type of formula that Marvell has would not work. The 5 movie, massive universal event type thing would be seen as a copy. But my point was Darkseid can be used differently.

So what your saying is if a movie came out with Darkseid that painted him completely different from Thanos and the plot was great that all everyone would care about is that he is a rip off of thanos? What?

First off Darkseid is Nothing like Thanos personality wise. His motives are much more sinister. In the Comics Thanos is crazy and in love with death. From the MCU perspective, Marvel has taken an approach with Thanos that paints him as the great equalizer of the universe. Darkseid wants to bend everything and everyone to his will. Thanos in the MCU is trying to do the right thing, at least in his eyes. Doesn't scream I want to rule the universe and all that live in it. I agree that DC should not do what they did with Thanos and drag a Darkseid story out 5 movies. But to say Darkseid is a poor mans Thanos just shows how little you know about the character. One example would be the episode on the superman animated series from the 90s where Darkseid captures superman and makes him believe he is his son. That's just one example of how DC could use him in a way that would not make him look like a rip off of Thanos. Also how is his first appearance over priced? I would argue that out of every villain's first appearance Darkseid both in cameo and full are great value considering there is no hype at the moment for him. Due to the uncertainty of the DCEU. His Cameo in JO 134 hasn't really increased that much over the last 5 years, I recently bought a CGC 7.5 for like 215$. His first full appearance in Forever People #1 at CGC 9.0 can be had for 250-300$ Seems reasonable to me for one of the biggest and baddest villains in the Dc universe

I have noticed weird bidding activity on eBay over the last few years, much more then usual. especially when it comes to CGC key books. Books are bid up higher then buy it now prices on the same book in the same grade by CGC, makes no sense at all. If you then do some detective work by look at the bid history things get even more obvious, its a shilling mans game. I know shill bidding has been a problem on eBay for ever but it seems to be out of control now. I see auctions over FMV within the first day or 2 of an auction starting. How impatient are these jokers?
