  1. Think that should be 1980. Great lot what looks to me like a great price for such nice copies. GLWTS. Recently read the Dreadstar storyline which starts in 1-9 and 15 of this series ("Metamorphosis Odyssey," part I of a long IV part saga including the 2 graphic novels and the Dreadstar comic series). Good story and art, lot of great other content throughout the series.
  2. Odd to see a comic with dogears at both open corners in a 9.2 case. Agreed it's a really cool cover.
  3. Book received; got it in good shape, and pdq, thank you buddy.
  4. Just a head's up about a San Antonio con on March 11. Link to website http://eckmanstoyshow.com/?utm_source=FanCons.com&utm_medium=web&utm_campaign=FanCons.com 9 AM to 4 PM, only open to noobs (hence why I plan to be there). Location: 901 N Loop 1604 W, San Antonio, TX 78232
  5. Hey man, just a head's up, these two might've been switched.
  6. And here I was thinking it crashed because I laughed at an inappropriate joke.
  7. This sucks man. Sound like inside job/inside help. What're the odds, over 75% that's how you got targeted?
  8. Nice, one of just three Marvel 'superhero' books with ten cent cover price, IIRC.
  9. You're very experienced on ebay, your decision was not to go the 'free shipping' route that a lot of dealers established. Did you ever test it out? The theory being that 'free ship' attracts more buyers, and at least some of them would factor the ship cost into their bids (hopefully the highest 2 bidders among them). Just curious for you pov, given how long you've been at it.
  10. X-Men #6 - what was on page 12 $135 ^take it, please. Thx toro! Looks like this is gone (other side is 2 ads, one of them for "camo. tubes" just 50 cents +a dime for s&h):
  11. I'd guess you get at least a 5.0 from CGC for this book.
  12. Yup, looks a 2.0 to me, maybe a 1.8 depending on how many bits of the spine are split. Those pen marks around her shoes are still less defacement of the cover than most signature copies have.
  13. I wouldn't slab it unless you think it might have restoration. You already know the grade it would get w/some certainty, so the only reason to spend all that time/money would be for a restoration check, since this is such a popular book it's pretty liquid if you ever need the dough.
  14. 5.0 is "average." I'd guess you'd get a 5.0 (small chance of 5.5) from CGC if you sent it in to be suffocated.
  15. Buzzetta cured me of clicking on music vids, however much I might appreciate the talent.
  16. Happy to share - the "top loaders" are reusable protection (nothing as permanent nor as secure as slabs, to be clear) made of heavy plastic, and you slide your comic (including the bag/board) into the top, and it affords some extra protection. Here's a pic (one empty, the other with the GR reprint of JIM 83): Try searching for "comic book toploader," that should find what's available; I've never bought them, just received them on occasion with my purchases.
  17. Marvel Super-Heroes 14 copy b 8.0 slightly OW pages $65. ^Take this one, lizards. Also: Any chance you got an MKF 41 you're gonna list? Found a pre-slab picture of your MSH14 (wasn't pressed before entombing), if you keep this kind of thing.
  18. Michael, this is a great thread, where were you five years ago?
