Been trying out camscanner app. I use android - it creates pdfs. If there is a setting to have the images come out as jpegs - would love to know. Updated a bunch of CAF art already.
With respect to the comment that lighting/shadows is tricky - I usedthe setting to have the flash/torch on. I put the art vertical on my desk, leaning to the wall and shot the pictures. A real pleasure to see the app adjust the image so it flattens out.
I usually camscan the piece, take a screenshot of it from the phone and crop out the top/bottom borders

Do you have examples on your CAF page of what the CamScanner can do?
Pretty much 90% of my stuff on CAF was taken with Camscanner. Decent app if you can get the right lighting in.

I don't believe I've posted this before and since we are looking at ASM #3 mine happens to be a 5.5 as well. Bought this raw back in the '90's and submitted myself in August of 2009. Was not pressed(I don't think I even knew about pressing then, when did it become more prevalent?)
Beautiful copy.

Hey guys. Just a heads up. An item popped up on Ebay titled "Amazing Spiderman 797 Mayhew Variant Original Cover Art Red Goblin Only One!". I cant post the eBay link currently cuz Im at a work comp. Its listed for 1800 or best offer. It was confusing because the title mentions "original cover art" but the description includes "original cover/production art and hand sketch". I contacted Mike Mayhew via email regarding it because he just recently sold his original cover art for that issue. This was his reply:
"I appreciate it. I contacted the buyer. It is very strange over all. I sold the cover this week and it is in transit. The art in the picture is a cover sketch that I sold today and mailed today."
I just wanted you guys to know that the item listed on Ebay is not the final original art for that issue but just a sketch. Not going after the eBayer's intentions. He has 100% positive feedback. Just didn't want anyone thinking they were getting the OA for that issue.
