  1. Hey guys.   Ive been kind of keeping track of ASM 1 6.0 for some time.   A 6.0 has been hovering between 7 to 8k for a while but I saw one sell in May 2017 for a little over 13k.  It had White Pages while the others were more or less OW-W.  Is that jump in price solely due to it having white pages? I know its only one sale and its hard to make a judgment but just thought Id see your thoughts.  Several 6.5s have sold this year and according to GPA, their prices have ranged from 10.6k to 13k (all pretty much OW-W).    Thanks in advance.

    Questions:

    1) Anyone have the whole ASM run (let's say  1-700)  ?

    2) how common/uncommon is it to have collected the whole run ?

    3) let's say first 100 books average out to fine, then the rest are VF-mint, what value would you place on the whole run (estimate) ?

    Thanks

Ive been trying for some time but keep getting distracted by OA.  I have 1, 4, 40, 64, 137, 194, 201-700 (with maybe 3-5 missing nonkey issues in between).  Just taking my time with the early ones cuz the better the grade the higher the price so trying to find a good deal on them.

I don't know how common it is to have the entire collection but you do see some "full" collections pop up on eBay.

This comic has a very important personal history for me. The first comics ever bought for me were from my mother. She bought me a triple pack of GI Joe #21-23. The very next chance I got I rode my bike to the corner 7-11 with my $2.50 allowance. After about 30 minutes looking at their spinner racks, I made my 3 choices... Thing #13, ROM #56 & JLA #227. I was pretty into Dungeons & Dragons which is why JLA #227 was an easy decision for my first choice. I picked the Thing #13 due to the cool monster on the cover & then ROM because I thought ROM was a robot.

Anyway, being the first comic I personally picked off the stands, JLA #227 has a spot in my heart no other comic will ever have. Never in my wildest dreams did ever think 33 years later I would own the original art to one of the first comics I ever had. :)

Got this as part of a trade. love it. really nice 5.5. graded back in Sept 2003.

traded my jim83 cgc 9.0 restored (amateur resto; color touch on cover and glue on spine) for this, tomb of dracula 10 (cgc 9.6) and asm129 (cgc 9.0). worked out well.

My newest pick up: Thing 10 cover by Ron Wilson. I know he isnt as loved as others, but for my money he was the consumate Bullpen artist. His career spanned decades and he was just a solid teller of stories. Happy to have in my collection, might be a little out of place on some level but it just felt so right when i saw it in HA last session.
