  1. As of this morning, my Comic Connect order from the June 5th auction still hadn’t shipped. I contacted customer support, and they created a shipping label later this evening (though Fed Ex is still waiting for the package). Pretty disappointing that I needed to contact them about it, but at least they were responsive. I last won a piece from them in 2019, but I’d rate them below both Heritage and Comic Link in terms of efficiency. Their invoice system is pretty confusing as well.
  2. Yeah, this was an unpublished King Faraday story inked by Marshall. Most likely it was meant for publication in Ms Tree Quarterly, which was published by DC in the early 90s (Infantino drew a King Faraday story published in issue #8). Five other pages were sold on Comic Link not too long ago, and I sold page 7 for the family awhile back.
  3. For comparison, you can what the artist sold this for originally https://russelldauterman.square.site/product/marauders-10-cover-artist-s-proof/142?cp=true&sa=false&sbp=false&q=false&category_id=8
  4. Those are from the “Super Friends”cartoon circa 1977-1978, with Black Vulcan and Samurai. Some info here: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_All-New_Super_Friends_Hour
  5. Thanks guys. I’ve used Robert for a job before. He does great work, but is very pricey —the job, plus shipping back and forth— would cost more than the value of the art I would guess— I’m not sure about the glue type, but the art was published in 1974, and the artists himself mounted it to the board some years later, so I’d guess whatever was common around that time (rubber cement?). I was hoping there was an easier (and cheaper) method of doing it, but maybe not.
  6. Does anybody have any tips on how to remove OA glued onto a board? I have a couple of pieces like this, and one of the boards has a lot of water damage, so I’d like to remove it, but don’t know the best way to go about it. Thanks!
  7. I’ve found Transferwise to be the best way to accept/make international payments. Low fees and good exchange rate.
  8. Sorry for the blurry image, but this Sal Buscema Spider-Man is hanging in an ice-cream parlor in Virginia (in the town where his wife is from). A promo for the ice-cream shop.
  9. I think 1984 is when the artwork was returned to Graham, but don’t know for sure.
  10. This is a great thread! So much cool stuff on the back of pages. This one (from Hero for Hire 13) has Billy Graham's original designs for Comanche and Shades, who appeared (in costume) in the following issue.
  11. UPDATE. All of the remaining Billy Graham drawn Gabriel Devil Hunter pages, from Haunt of Horror issues 2 & 3, are now uploaded onto CAF (some benefits to being "sheltered in place'). You can see them here: https://www.comicartfans.com/galleryroom.asp?gsub=201758 All remaining Jungle Action (Black Panther) and Eerie (Warren magazine) pages are also there. https://www.comicartfans.com/galleryroom.asp?gsub=189564 https://www.comicartfans.com/galleryroom.asp?gsub=189576 There are still some Eclipse, Marvel Black & White Horror, and adult magazine illustrations to come. Sabre and Hero for Hire pages are still not available for purchase at the moment. The current plan is for Don McGregor to use scans of the Sabre art for a new reprint collection of that series, later this year. Best health to everyone, Jason
  12. Just to close the loop on this thread, the OA for the Spider-Man 193 cover turned up on Heritage recently, and it turns out it was both penciled and inked by Sal Buscema! Heritage kindly responded to my request to upload a picture of the back-side to verify.
  13. How about this one: Sold for $26 on Christmas day. https://www.ebay.com/itm/1984-FIRESTORM-24-FIREHAWK-ORIGINAL-ART-DC-KAYANAN-TANGHAL-/184094324234?hash=item2adce0760a%3Ag%3AEGIAAOSw5WReAAMf&nma=true&si=93oHvwdrF%2FONBiVFkKJw1eH9SDQ%3D&orig_cvip=true&nordt=true&rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.l2557 And up again a few days later for $399! (and not a Blue Devil in sight). https://www.ebay.com/itm/Kayanan-FURY-OF-FIRESTORM-24-pg-13-KEY-FIRST-APPEARANCE-OF-BLUE-DEVIL-ISSUE/372897759164 Talk about your New Year's inflation!
  14. With last Sunday’s auction live on Wednesday @ midnight EST (this Thursday) (wonder if they’ve announced this). (Looks like it’s now been changed to Thursday at 6 PM EST)
  15. Hi everyone. All the Graham's remaining Jungle Action pages have now been posted to the gallery. https://www.comicartfans.com/galleryroom.asp?gsub=189531 There are only a few pages with Black Panther left. These two pages were sold last year, but the buyer never paid (so, not really sold ), thus are available again. Page 32 has an ink spill on the back, which causes some discoloration on the 1st panel. Priced at $2,000 for page 31, and $1,800 for page 32, or $3,400 for the pair.
  16. After about a year off the market, the Graham family has decided to start selling artwork again. Pages for sale from Eerie magazine, plus other examples, can be seen here: https://www.comicartfans.com/galleryroom.asp?gsub=189531 (Sorry, all Vampirella pages are sold out!) Warren, Eclipse (anything non-Sabre), Marvel black & white horror magazines, and some Jungle Action pages, are currently available for purchase. Contact me if you want to see pics of the Eclipse and Marvel horror anthology pages which are not on CAF yet. More pages from other titles (like Jungle Action and Sabre) will be for sale later. All payments are made directly to the Graham family, who will ship the artwork. Please contact me here, or via CAF, if interested. Jason
  17. Have a page from this short-lived, yet fondly remembered by many, publisher currently up on EBay (ending Monday night). https://www.ebay.com/itm/Wulf-the-Barbarian-4-pg-16-original-art-Jim-Craig-Atlas-1975/383059085505?hash=item593019c8c1:g:d4kAAOSw6hFdC-z4 Pencils by Jim Craig, inks credited to the "Atlas Bullpen," but appear to be Frank Giacoia for this page. From Jim Craig's personal collection and publicly available for the first time since publication in 1975. Don't know if anything will come from Paramont Pictures' recent "first look" deal to make movies and TV shows from Atlas comic properties, but it would be cool to see "Wulf" hit the big or small screen some day. Jason
  18. I can tell you about this piece. It’s an unpublished British Marvel landscape page from 1976. Penciler is Jeff Aclin, according to Jeff. He thinks the inker is Dan Adkins, but doesn’t remember. Believe it or not, this was sold in the early 90s by a prominent dealer as a Steranko/Romita Sr piece. I’ve communicated with that dealer about it, and it’s an interesting story. PM for more details. Best Jason
  19. There were originally plans to produce 10 CACP (Canadian Assiciation of Chief of Police) Spider-Man comics, but only five were published. Jim still has the OA to the splash of an unpublished story called “Danger Alley.” This cover is another of the unpublished ones. Jason
