  2. Sorry if this has been mentioned, I looked back through the tread and didn't see it. from ICv2 news Fantagraphics Announces 'Complete Dennis' Ketcham Strips April 25, 2005 Fantagraphics has announced another major collection of newspaper comics: Hank Ketcham's Complete Dennis the Menace. The first volume will be released on September 25th, a massive 624-page hardcover (although at 5.5" x 6.25", it should still have good hand) at $24.95. It will contain all the single panel strips from 1951-1952, the first two years Ketcham did the strip. The Foreword will be by Patrick (Mutts) McDonnell; the introduction by Brian Walker. Future Dennis volumes will be released annually until the completion of Ketcham's run on the strip, which ended in 1994. Fantagraphics is also planning the to release Merchant of Dennis the Menace, Hank Ketcham's memoir, in September. This re-issue of the autobiography Ketcham wrote before his death in 2001 is planned as a 256-page illustrated trade paperback at $19.95. Fantagraphics describes Dennis as "the second most popular cartoon kid in the world after Charlie Brown," and we have no occasion to argue. He's sold over 50 million book collections and the strip is still in over 1,000 daily newspapers. The character spawned a live action TV show that ran from 1959-63, a 90s theatrical release, and a 2002 animated film.

Well I skipped some duties today just to look through some of the stuff and it's not a #1 Hustler from 74, its a vol 4 from 78. and now a little fun with Howard, yes, each is a book and I could only get about half the #4's on the scanner and I have no idea why there is a single 25 center in there!
  10. I posted the list of magazines and what DC I have inventoried to my website. Here are some more books from the Marvel boxes.
  11. Yes, I'll need a pecking order of sorts. I don't intend to start a bidding war, I'll treat ya right. I'll see if I can get the wife to type up a list a put her grades in, and post it to my web site this weekend, we can go from there. We're not quite sure about the grades, the first batch I sent in came back great, maybe too good, and the second batch we got hammered on. So were in a quandry ATM, got a 3rd bunch of silver/gold in and a batch of moderns ready to mail Monday.
  12. Hello Guys, I bought a 8k book collection early this summer and were working our way through it now. Found these in the marvels. We sent the x-men 98 and hulk 200 to CGC. They will all be for sale soon. I never was one for older back issues, my market area just doesn't justify the expenditure. So, I never learned to grade, , but the wife is trying, she has been into the hobby longer than I....anyway, if you want scans, I will be glad to post them, it might take me a bit to get to them is all. I will put a list of the Magazines and the DC's that are done on my web site later this week. The collection ranges from the late 60's to the early 80's. Mostly Horror and war stories. This collection is what brought me to CGC and these boards, I have benefited from the information that is presented here and feel it's a shame that it's not available to the hobby on a wider scale, and in a collected format. I believe it would promote the hobby and bring more people into it. Thanks! Don
