Has anyone just reached out to them and pointed out the mistake? If not, I am happy to. My guess is that they aren’t paying attention -
Are prices still climbing or have they eased up a bit???

The truth is superheroes are part of this civilization’s mythology. I am quite certain that Spider-Man and Superman will still be around in 100 years. And because of that colllectors will still clamor to buy their origin books. And if you don’t believe me and the sustainability of heroes and mythos over time look to heroes from centuries ago that kids today still know … Robin Hood, King Arthur, the Three Musketeers. Not only are they recognized, they are still making movies about these characters centuries later. I would say that there is way more exposure to many of the marvel and dc heroes than the ones I noted because of films and TV shows that the entire world has seen. Not saying that prices won’t fluctuate, but I don’t think that there is an inevitable permanent drop. I would bet the opposite. -
He sent me a few books last year- all looked great. Had no issues (I don’t care about wait times). Would purchase from him again 👍

Exactly. Avoid the noise - economic downturns happen, bubbles happen. Smartest investors know they can’t time these things. -
Love all these. That #30 ❤️ You guys were like piranhas this week on MyComicShop - left bare bones for the rest of us 😂 Great pickups.

Thank you for writing this. I collect stuff that shows up so infrequently that you might not see it for many many years. And every time I have let stuff sit for more than a day they seem to get picked up even at record prices 🤷🏻 -

A new administration will have little bearing IMHO This is a just part of economic cycles- crisis, followed by recovery, then bull market then crisis. This will pass, too. 6 months, 1 year, 2 years? But eventually there will be a bull market- Wall Street won’t sit idle, optimism will return and eventually irrational exuberance. As one seller told me when I tried to pick something up at a discount- “comics cost me very little to feed” 😂. So for those that can let them sit, it’s probably not costing you a dime to wait it out. -
Beautiful book - well done

Just to be clear we must be talking about big book purchases. I have bought from Heritage Auctions recently- won books at half gpa, some I lost. I have bid against other board members (I found out after). I have watched books sell for dismal prices and others at records. I have not seen patterns of abuse. Again- we are talking sub $1000 books. And if I read this thread as a new collector - I would run from the hobby. Hope we don’t scare the very people that are the future of collecting. They should know there are many cool people who sell, great comic shops, sites like MyComicShop that are stellar, and so much to learn about the hobby. Like all things financial- there are always some shenanigans. -
Picked this up a while back from FantaCo Enterprises. If you haven’t picked up their Eerie Pubs book- pick it up today! Amazing to see all these issues in one book. This is second highest on census (for now).

I have to agree- the Thor spacing confirms it for me.
