  1. Looks a bit like a variation of a 9d Miller stamp actually (and they did do westerns): I've calculated a similar time frame to collect the Charlton Miller's so you're in good company! Yep, that's happened to me many times. I set the clock for special ones though.
  2. That's not dead centre! That's the whole bloody cover!
  3. I saw him!! I saw him!! Did you?? Did you?? I did!! I did!! Why are we saying everything twice?? Why are we saying everything twice?? I don't know!! I don't know!!
  4. Find me one with the UPC slap bang in the middle Aman. There's got to be one, surely.
  5. I'm giving up on (incorrect) plagiarism references! Dropped the Mohican though didn't he
  6. Post it, would love to see it. Little chance of it being an original UK distribution book though - read on here if you're interested Gary about when T&P stamps started to appear in the UK: https://www.cgccomics.com/boards/topic/471133-a-brief-review-of-the-first-official-uk-distribution-of-us-published-comics-in-19591960/page/9/?tab=comments#comment-11386438 91 is the first Kid officially distributed in the UK, being a 9d printed copy, followed by 95 on (no 92, 93 or 94): I've not found any evidence of earlier issues coming to the UK, or the missing 9d issues, at least not from the perspective of a tell tale distributor stamp. What Kids are you missing?
  7. Bottom left normally isn't it. Sometimes though, the layout man gets creative. Or woman of course. They can layout just as well. Got any more? *you'll never guess what's at the bottom of this barrel...
  8. Ok, I really want to sell this comic for four and a half grand. What should I put in the title I wonder....? That should get their attention. I mean three quid is three quid. Now, I think something about the condition in the description might help it to sell. Let's check this Overstreet thing out.... Right... I see. Fine, Near Mint. Riiiight. I think I see what's needed here.
  9. Dunnah-nunnah-nunnah-nunnah-nuh - FATMAN!
  10. My word, if a page is worth this much.... ...these are a flippin steal! Hurry!

  12. Brennans would be a good guess given the area - nowt on Google that I can find though.
  13. All is cool. Sometimes what we type reads differently to what we meant to convey! Whilst the focus of this thread is the APVs, I do like the locally printed Yaffa publications too. Some of them are very nice looking and I like the absence of the top cover banners which give more prominence to the cover art: Someone should start a separate thread on them
