If you have any knowledge of mainstream comic art from the past 50 years, you know his name. If you understand storytelling, anatomy and movement, you are a fan. The pieces of original art being offered up span the nearly the entire length of his career at DC Comics, which begin in 1974. Heritage Auctions is featuring a collection of artwork, going to auction, "from the personal collection of Jose Luis Garcia-Lopez", beginning next month, August, and running through October. This was my second time at the show. I've really enjoyed it, both times. Great catching up with old friends and meeting some face-to-face, for the first time.
