  1. it's a memorable, breathtaking piece of art. Turner is on a level not quite Dave Stevens, but he had his own unique way of drawing beautiful heroines. This is Aspen, not Witchblade, but I'm happy to see Michael's work gaining momentum with dollars behind it. I have no stake, and I'll probably have to ride out the rest of my collecting days without getting hold of a piece as good as this by Turner. Well bought. I'm jealous, which is a sin.
  2. The COA means zip unless they watched him sign. That being said, it looks legit to me. I can't give you a COA but I can tell you this. The true signature of any art piece is the artist's actual work. The art looks like Todd's. Next is the penned (marker) autograph, and this signature looks legit. I can't tell you what you should pay for it. This is not very detailed, however, Todd is one of those guys who makes quick sketches so representative (of spawn, spidey, etc.) that you walk away pleased. I don't see any pencil lines, all marker. That's a common way he does these. Good luck.
  3. There was a time when eBay was the place to go to buy and sell original comic art. Things have changed of course, but from time to time a surprising listing on eBay pulls our eyes away from HA and the lot. I'll start here with this just closed result. This thread could be a neat place to post gems you think slipped past the major auctions and wound up here. The seller bought this from Chris 31 years ago. I can't help but wonder if he was pleasantly shocked by the final result. It's a wonderful page of art and content, from a great story. if you guys come across other results from eBay that standout please share.
  4. c'mon. somebody out there has a page of PPSSM 21 in their portfolio they can let go. Maybe you bought it a long time ago, and you realise it's time to let it go to a new, loving home.
  5. I know budgets get waxed from time to time with the burden's of life. Grifter and Midnighter #4 page 7 published by Executive Editor Jim Lee's Wildstorm Productions August 2007. Penciler: RYAN BENJAMIN So here's a budget friendly opportunity for someone who wants to have a piece of published original art and not surrender an arm and a leg for it. The Galaxy is in peril, as untold legions of blood thirsty monsters attack all of civilization. The page below illustrates just a taste of the horrific destruction these alien creatures have unleashed. This page can be yours if you follow these directions: the time honored tradition continues here. Simply post then contact me PM asap to arrange payment. I will HOLD item until paid. $250 paid by check, MO or cashiers check. Paypal is okay but NO friends and family. You will have to calculate and pay paypal the additional fee as a business transaction. Shipping is FREE but limited to the USA. NO International buyers allowed at this time. I'm sorry to all my good friends and boardies outside the USA. The artwork will arive in a bullet proof package sent via USPS with signature confirmation.
  6. We're all about comic art my friend. Definitely the TOS page!!!
  7. Bob Larkin very underrated IMHO.
  8. With appologies to all the cool boardies who sell on here, I'm praying for a complete power outage, cluster fire sale.
  9. Not sure I like this idea I'm proposing, but... what if dealers and auction houses had to post coming art work on a legal listing 6 months before selling. 1. If Art ownership is not contested, the sale/auctions can go forward. 2. Stops flipping i see some problems with my proposal, but going through theft horror stories year after year is getting old. I feel sorry for the fellas losing a life time of blood sweat and ink. 🍇 🦍
  10. I suspect the pages are in a dusty portfolio, and the owner hasn't figured out how to explain how he/she got hold of them. Allegedly. I think.
  11. Press away, but what to about the color break over the staple by Nightcrawlers hip? Its a pretty book, but I can't help feeling that if it was me, or one of you submitting, there's no way we sniff a 9.9. That's it, other than the top right corner, where I've seen a few other copies with sharper corners and lower grades. No h8, just having trouble trusting the professional grading services.
  12. The Vampirella sketch is on the website now for $3500. Who am I to say that's a tad aspirational. $3500 ea. x 43 = $150,500 The true loss is the artists time and effort. Poor Neal probably never got over that sick feeling. Unless..... if the vampirella is not reproduced but the original drawing. Maybe he got them back? I'm not inspired to investigate this, but will gladly read here if anyone had legit info.
  13. As a reformed gambler, I will agree with what you say 100%. I had that discussion with a friend of mine. Even if you knew who was going to win a contest, your large bet would potentially grind your longshot into the "chalk."
  14. Thy wisdom in this is almost worse than the mother wanting to settle for half a baby! Almost.
  15. I stole the DeLorean from that nerd Marty McFly. All I need now is an almanac with results for this years NCAA Men's 🏀 tournament winner. That'll put me over the top for the Ditko 6ft poster art! 💰--- Sincerly, BIFF
