Do The Glasses themselves being that they are original add any extra value to the books? is there are market just for the Glasses? thanks

I found these 2 copies from The Dark Knight Returns few days ago....had been sitting a box of Graphic Novels I put together a few months...didnt really look at them to good and mistook them for paperback graphic Novels also found These DC/Marvel Crossover Classics 2 and 4....Which I'm going to sell...But glad I found them

I've recently Put together A Ton Of Silver Age and Bronze's Keys that I have Doubles and Triples of, I've got them in Order and Taken Pictures and I would like to make a thread for "Trading" purposes, I've got a list of Keys that I'm Missing that I want to trade for and I would Like to make a thread showing my KEYS that I would trade and Then make a list of the Keys I'm looking for.... But I'm not exactly sure where to make this thread. In The Forum Only Selling Area Forum Or The "Want To Buy" area....I've seen "Trading" Threads in Both...But I know rules are strict.. Basically the thread would consist of Several hundreds Keys Issues in group shots which total about 40 total pictures, I would Then add a list of around 80 Keys issues I'm looking for and want to trade for.... could someone please give me advice on where the right place to make this thread is... thank you so much.

This might be the single most fascinating picture I've ever seen....and Mean that Literally.... first of course its a collection of The most of the ICONIC Marvel Keys.... But Next, Because They are RAW and look like they are in INSANE conditioning...I know this was posted awhile ago but if the poster is still here...if you dont mind me asking, are the conditioning of all of these in the 9.0 + range? Truly stunning...I love that they are RAW(I dont have a single CGC) but thats whats makes this so fascinating, I cant help but wonder just how high these would grade if sent in to CGC considering how incredible they look

I must say I'm very Jealous Of another posters Wall Above, a poster named "Grant Turner" has a Group Photo of a Wall With his 1 though 10's and I must say I really REALLY wanted to make a wall like that too... but I didnt have a Wall Big enough, The most I could fit on 1 wall was 5 rows....and what I really wanted was to to able to Hang my 1 through 10's of Avengers,ASM, FF, Inc. Hulk, Iron Man, X-Men, Daredevil, Green Lantern, Justice League, TOS(early IM) and TTA(Early Ant-Man) all on the same wall together But just could do it... Instead Just Made DC and Marvel Walls

does anyone know where you can buy these plastic book display things in Bulk ? thanks

Ya The reason I didnt put any row there was because I was afraid I might hit the comics when I pulled the drawers out.... but I did some checking and realized It would be ok so I went ahead and added some just as you suggested.

I inherited the collection from The Grandfather, Not My dad.... and I cant tell you how much you are right when it comes to The Yellowing and stickiness... 85% of the collection I inherited was silver age and bronze DC and Marvel....but there were some kinda not so popular titles like "Star Trek", "The Thing", "Marvel Triple Action"....stuff like that. I'm entirely convinced My grandfather hadnt even opened the boxes of These titles in 35+ years....He stopped Buying and adding to his collection in The Late 80s....from then until 2013 when he died, He simply owned and stored his collection....But When I inherited the collection and went through it, I could tell The Important and Major titles had Newer bags and backers that he updated at some point....But On some of The not so important titles...I'm convinced The bags and backers were on there since The Late 80s....as you said The were extremely yellow and sticky...especially where The tape was on The flap, the tape had almost turned to goo....luckily as far as I can see Literally no damage was done to any of the books....but I actually took pictures of the Bags because I'm convinced These are the bags he bought in the late 80's, put them on The comics and Literally had not opened or touched the books since....They still had 1980s prices on them where he looked them up in the price guide and put a sticker on the back with their 1980s value.....

giving what I think will be my last update(although I've said that 2 times now), But this time I'm pretty sure. added another DC row and took the advice from someone on here and added some rows by the filing cabinet and also changed the order of the books a bit Officially out of room, Literally cant fit another book anywhere. any comments good or bad would be nice. thanks

thank you... Believe it or not....Every comic I own has new bags and backers as of 2015.... I've never really thought about Display Protection because Until recently, My Comics have basically Been Boxed. I Inherited the collection in 2013, It took around 2 years to go through it, buy new bags and backers for every issue, New boxes and Grade every issue...and since Then My dad became extremely ill where I became his sole caretaker before he passed in November. but basically during this time My collection just sat around in Boxes....Its only The last 7 months since his passing and since I joined this forum and Others that I've started to hang comics...I dont have Kids or anything so I'm not worried about damage or accidents. and I dont let anyone in my comic room so I dont worry about theft(or at least Theft by anyone I know) I did recently upgrade to an amazing Security system for my house and I got an insurance policy for my collection. I've had many people tell I should get Mylar for my Keys...But To be honest I've got Near 1,700 Keys and It would cost a ton to get that many for my keys...also for me personally I've never had any issues or problems with using regular Bag and backers. I might Be a little more convinced to use the Mylar If My Major Keys were Like 9.4s or 9.8s....I know A ton of collectors only buy the the extremely high grade comics and I could completely understand wanted to use Mylar and extra protection for those...but My Major Keys are in the 4.0 to 8.0 range(of course I got a few lower and higher) but The Majority of my collection are Mid-grade . If I could ever find like an extremely great deal on Mylar in Bulk, I might consider getting some....But as I said, between 2013 and 2015...I bought New bags and Backers for what turned out to be near 100 Boxes of comics...I didnt really keep track of how much I spent, but It was a lot

I got 1 final update...ended up deciding to add a few more rows... wanted to post some pictures.... again any comments(Good or bad) would be great, I and also added some of The duplicates to some of the keys hanging, wanted to hear some opinions on if They look weird bunched together or did look better originally with just the one book. thanks

I'm quite sad....I have no idea what to do with this giant Hulk Poster. I've had in hung up in my comic room since 2008, Its kinda rare....I got it from a guy who worked at Blockbuster, Its the Promotional poster they gave out to Blockbuster to hang in their windows when it came out on DVD in 2008...Its Huge, Its actually 4 Posters put together... I've always loved it but I had to take it down to hang my keys with J Channel... I've been wracking my brain trying to come up with a way to get it back in the comic room but there truly is no room... I'm actually thinking about hanging on the ceiling ....

I do have a lot of Keys, Thats one reason why I've always wanted to Hang Them, To see how they would all look up together...but to be honest, as I said early in the post, while I absolutely love and enjoyed hanging them all...It also was an incredibly frustrating experience, because I quickly realized I wasnt going to have nearly enough room to have all or most of My Keys...Obviously I decided to Go with Most Of the Major Keys, But I only actually hung about 40% of what I wanted....There are so many Medium and Small KEYS that I love and I want so badly to have been able to hang... I've been constantly going to the comic book room looking around trying to think of a way to add more, But I'm just completely out of room... anyways,again Thanks for the comment....

this has been a problem for me and probably every collector....I use old Shirts and roll them up.... But I've had an idea for a perfect invention for this exact problem in my head for years...I swear If I could ever meet someone or a company that invents things and Tell them my idea...I have absolutely no doubt my invention I've thought up in my head would instantly become A Regular item all collectors would use to in these situations Unfortunately...My idea will almost certainly never see the light of day...but I'm telling you...Its perfect..

Ok, so I just wanted to give a quick recap of whats been going on. for as long as I've had my comics I've always wanted to hang my Keys on The walls, Unfortunately Until 7 Months ago I was the Least experienced Collector ON EARTH, I had never been to any forums, Never joined any face book groups, I truly had never talked to anyone about comics except my father and Grandfather....sadly They both Passed recently, My dad in November, after his death, I eventually found This forum, which Then resulted in a completely new world to me. one of the many things I learned about was "J-Channel"(LOL) as I said I always wanted to hang my comics, but honestly never really knew a good way to do it. quickly after finding this forum I saw pictures of collections hung with J Channel and knew that is what I wanted to do.... I never really got around to it, about a month ago, I came across a deal where I got a bunch of free Pictures frames....I started hanging some of my comics using the pictures frames....I liked it but Ultimately knew I wanted to go with J -Channel...but hanging the comics with Pictures frames, finally gave me the motivation to go buy The J-Channel and Get started.... Its taken about a week, But I'm done, I'm officially out of room in The comic book room...Ended up Having 2 Marvel Walls and 1 DC wall. Overall it was both an Amazing and Frustrating experience....It became very frustrating trying to decide which comics to hang....I quickly realized I wasnt going to have nearly enough room to hang everything I wanted, I only got to hang around 40% of what I wanted...I found myself constantly trying to decide between which comics to hang...Overall though I'm very happy. just wanted to share the final pictures and hoping for the some comments(good or bad)... thanks

It was dirt/glue from the back of a Giant Incredible Hulk poster I had hanging there...lol luckily my house is Mold free...

I was incredibly lucky to inherit A massive 175 box collection that were 85% silver age and bronze Marvel and DC . and again LUCKILY Damn near all the Major Keys were there I've always wanted to hang my keys on the walls like this but for whatever reason I never got around to it. The Problem I'm having now is, I'm flat out of room...I've probably only hung about 40% of what I want to hang and I'm not going to be able to hang any of My Duplicates of Keys. But Im very happy with the way its turning out....I should finish tonight, Only got enough room for 2 more rows...

Nope. I havent hung my first print yet...I'm think about Hanging with a Picture frame Above the rest... The one in the pictures is a 3rd Print a found about 3 months ago... I got real lucky, I was going through a box a found 2 copies of TMNT #1(3rd Prints) and 2 Copies of TMNT #4(1st Prints) and Multiple copies of 5 through 8. I did however Trade The Duplicate copies of #1 and #4 for another Key issues I was missing

Nope,My collection is entirely raw. I inherited a Massive collection of 175 boxes in 2013 . My plan is to die an old man and still have my collection When I die. so Have no real need to send anything to CGC since I'm never going to sell anything. I have for the first time in my life starting actually Buying/trading for a few books recently, again I was so incredibly Lucky to inherited most of The Silver and Bronze age major Keys, But I have a list of 30 or so Keys I'm missing and would like to have....I finally started to get some of those recently and almost bought a couple that were CGC copies but ultimately found better deals on Raw copies... I imagine I'll eventually run across a few of My Missing Keys in CGC form and eventually have a couple CGC Comics...but as of right now...I dont have a single comic thats CGC.... Hell Until 6 months ago, I didnt even realize the importance or significance of having comics graded and sent to CGC... My father passed away in November, and I need some extra cash to help out with Funeral costs and figured I would sell a book or 2...But the problem was, at the time I was truly the Least Experienced collector with a Large collection on Earth, I had never talked comics with anyone except my dad and grandfather, Never Bought or sold a comic before, never been to any forums or sites...I truly knew nothing about the comic book community or Selling and Buying World. I eventually found This forum and made a post asking whats the best way to sell some Keys, after a few mean/skeptical comments I eventually got excellent advice from regulars and finally started understanding the importance and significance of Sending comics to CGC which Is really the best way to get top dollar for Major Keys if your going to sell them... I ended up paying for my fathers funeral in another way, and now since I do not plan to ever sell any of my comics, for me personally theres really no need to send any off to CGC. I Might 1 day maybe send like my top 5 Keys off to CGC, just in case of an emergency, It would be a good idea to be Prepared in case of another situation like with my dads funeral where I need fast cash, It would be a good Idea to have a few of some Bigger Keys graded so I could get top money fast for them... But the most part...CGC is just something that personally interests me....I do Like the cases, I would like to have the CGC cases for my comics though, haha

Finally just said screw it and decided to do what I've been wanted to do for years and Went with The J-Channel. After putting all the Keys up with The pictures frames I found, It finally motivated me just to do it right. Not even close to being done yet, But heres the progress so far... I'm thinking about making 2 full DC walls and 2 Full Marvel Walls,Got a half of a DC wall done so far Also worth noting The Books are almost certainly going to change, I just put up so DC to see how they would look, Once I get the Full wall done then I'll decide the finally order and probably replace some issues with bigger keys

Went through some boxes I basically didnt even know I had the last few days....found some pretty good stuff- I'm keeping most of it, But I'm probably gonna sell the Infinity Watch run(just not my thing)
