Well if anyone ever had a shot at a solidly presenting coverless Tec 27 for a potentially decent price, this would be it. With the married centerfold and slightly brittle pages, may push some bidders away. I honestly have no problem whatsoever with either of those issues. Would be more than ecstatic to own this copy. Will be interesting to see what it hammers at. I suspect still somewhere over $100K, but who knows. That's what I thought. I don't understand how they get away with these scams. Obviously noone's buying, but he's pitching a fake version. So should be illegal or just against Ebay guidelines.

2-10 in 8.0+ would be a solid mini run. Shouldn’t be too expensive either other than issues 2 and 7.

There's definitely copies available every so often. Shouldn't be tough to find in low grade.

What grade is "appropriate for you" and what's correctly graded are two different things. You're more than welcome to feel it's not a 9.9, nor will you ever be bidding on it, but that doesn't change the fact CGC felt being a manufacturing flaw it should correctly not detract from the grade.

It’s either one way or the other then I guess. I get the part of the book you referenced, but according to the website it’s allowed on a 9.9. Guess there’s potential interpretation. If you ask me, the GSX1 and this are 9.9’s 🤷‍♂️. At the end of the day doesn’t matter much to me regardless because I ain’t shelling out the dinero for either book. But I do personally think they’re appropriate.

I posted the video because that’s predominantly what I see in here now and on social media. Just a lot of toxicity and being anti CGC because it’s popular. I highly respect James for that take.
