I will leave it here for a day or so, and then either put it back in the vault or send it to auction :-)

Sensation 33, CGC 5.5 White pages 1944
This was always a tough tough issue to find. There are 23 Universal copies on the census, 27 in total.
As those of you who know the history of Wonder Woman, her author had some unorthodox (at least for the time) ideas.
Bin is $550.00
Pictures in the next box, I'm having trouble uploading them from my PC.

I wonder what an Unrestored 2.0, 3.0, 4.0, 5.0 Tec 27 would realistically sell for, right now. I suspect a big splashy sale like this changes the dynamics a bit, in that it gives potential buyers more confidence. But on the other hand, at least on the entry level end, it’s probably a different group of potential buyers.

Down from the Okajima Superman #26 5.5 that went for $6,600. Market's get'in flooded with 'em.
The 26 was a war cover though. Those generally carry a premium.

The fact that Metro doesn’t buy it and hold onto makes you wonder .about the best future of the hobby ....abd the owner is taking offers
Arguably the nice looking 2.5 that sold for $410k I believe, presents better than this book.

Yeah...it should definitely be in a green label with the married parts. Who know's maybe it was a QA mistake.
Ultimately, they do disclose all the work that's been done on the book right there on the label notes so … hard for me to get riled up or think that they're somehow being shady.
The labels do carry a market perception beyond the notes though. Married cover or something like Trimming is a “scarlet letter” that will affect the market perception of the Conserved label.

If I am remembering correctly there was a thread a while back about how CGC was grading IGB books again.

Your conclusion is very perceptive.
Yep... agreed

Apparently, they've also included leaf casting as part of the Conserved category.
Not entirely sure what this procedure is, but based upon what I remember reading, it definitely appears to be a relatively invasive procedure.
As a collector who has favored Conserved books in the past, this would seems a worrying trend to me.

IGB copy. Your first mistake. Sorry mate.
If I am remembering correctly, I believe I was told it was not IGB when I purchased it

I'm getting hammered on almost every book I consigned.
I consigned an extensively restored GA mega-key to this auction. It hammered for 45% of what I had paid for it in 2017 (I purchased it via CC).
...Yes, a 55% loss. Perhaps Extended Restoration has continued to its fall out of favor in the past two years, but even so, I was pretty shocked. I would definitely not consign in a December auction, again.
