Cool yeah i figure i have some more of these.. but these were all i could put my hands on quickly I guess i may hold that one to get graded at some point but, if the Label doesnt note that its a #000 inside, then may have to wait til that gets added to the Notes.
Call and ask them to add it. From what others have told me, as long as info legit they usually do.
Good luck ?

The direct 2nd print isn't that hard to find. I see them for sale on Ebay for like $10.
Thanks!

Geez, so what is going on with Fear #10 in high grade?
I JUST saw one on top of one of the "to sort" piles. Will be back in there to grab and get looked at right away ?

Thanks for all the input folks, very interesting!
I'd pulled 10 copies out of a box a few weeks ago and will have to revisit those. I'd rebagged/boarded and never looked to see the indica indication and don't recall "noticing" anything out of norm at time.
After reading this earlier, I went looking through some unsorted Copper boxes and came across a 2nd Direct copy.
I may have missed the comment, but I DO see that there are only 4 on the census... Does the 2nd Direct edition command a premium over the 1st? I am looking at the GPA data and it is unclear to me. When did they start to list the newstand designation on sales and slab? Only sales are of a 9.8 and a 9.6 from '14 and '16.
?
Again, great post and thanks to those who contributed ?
Oh and congrats on the very nice turn overs.

At one point I had a spreadsheet when I was trying to keep track of Copper Keys, this is what I had on there. There's Valiant, Dark Horse and other publishers that you didn't mention, but at least this will give you an idea. It's by no means comprehensive as it was just a personal list, but there's plenty of great stuff from that era, so....

Nice! I've got 5 HG copies of the #1 Eternals 30cent variant. I see there are no SS on the census... What is Stan charging these days? I am certain that they are all better than 9.0 and probably in the 9.4 range. Would the SS route be viable for a couple?
Question: I plan on submitting the 30 centers, should I send them all in at once, or scatter them out? I ask because I've had mixed results sending in multiples of an issue.

Thanks for your response. I was going to send it in purely because I am going to have Claremont and miller sign it later this year. Would you guys send it in or should I consider the eBay option recently given to me?
That will add an additional sum to the fee category! If you figure $25/sig and then the additional cost for the SS designation, you'll be looking at about $125 (min as I believe Miller will cost you 2x what said above) total just for fees... Do you have a GPA account? If so, research the realized prices to see what your best move would be...
You could buy a SS 9.4 Claremont/Miller for right around $200... You will be spending right around that to grade your "potential" 9.0 ?
Again, just my thoughts and what I would have to think about... good luck!
✌

From what I can see, I'd say should be an EASY 8.5 and depending on day, a 9.0. IMHO I wouldn't send it in. Instead, I'd sell the book on eBay RAW with GOOD pics. Take the money I clear and add to it the fees I WOULD have paid (roughly $50) and buy a minimum 9.2!
Good luck!

Hello,
First off, let me say that I am so happy to have found these chat boards... I am learning so much and appreciate all of the help I have received so far.
With that being said, I thought it only right to come here and get a "second opinion" on a group of books I just returned from viewing.
I have been trying to connect with a seller who has roughly 125 GA books dated between 1943 through 1954. Finally, she had some free time and I saw them today ? I went with the assumption that the books would probably average 4.0. For the most part, I wasn't wrong...
Here is a list of what she has:
Fight 1952 82
Ghost 1953 8
Jungle 1944 59 – 60 – 61 – 62 – 63 – 64 - 65
1945 66 – 68 – 69 – 70 – 71 – 72
1946 73- 74 – 75 – 76 – 77 – 78 – 79 – 81 – 82 – 83 - 84
1947 86 – 87 – 88 – 89 – 90 – 90 – 92 – 93 -95
1948 97 – 102
1951 143
1952 146 – 147 – 149 - 150
1953 154 – 157 – 158
1954 162 – 163
Jumbo 1944 69
1945 71 - 73 – 74 – 75 – 76 – 77 - 78 – 79 – 80 – 81- 82 - 83
1946 84 - 85 – 86 – 87 - 88 – 89 – 90 – 91 – 92 – 93 - 94
1947 95 – 96 - 98 x2 – 99 – 100 – 101- 102 – 104 – 105 – 106 -
1948 107
1952 155 - 160
Planet 1953 71
Ranger 1948 39
1952 66
Sheena 1952 14
Tarzan 1951 25 – 26 - 27
1952 28 – 29 – 30 – 31 – 32 – 33 – 34 – 36
1953 42 – 43 – 44 - 51
1954 52 – 53 – 54 – 55 – 56 – 58 – 62 – 63
1955 64 – 65 – 67 – 69 – 73 – 74 – 75
1956 76
Wings 1948 89
1951 115
1953 119
I was REALLY HOPING the the Ghost, Planet and Wings would be in nice condition. Unfortunately, they were average VG (give or take).
Out of the group, there were about 7-10% Canadian Editions, 50% VG, 15% VG+ - F, 15% F+ or better and about 15% VF OR BETTER!
There were some Jungle and Jumbo's that looked like they were printed yesterday! A LOT of white pagers as well ?
With all that being said, I need some HELP! This is my first time purchasing comics like these in a group and I want to get them... My plan would be to spread them around and flip most of them to recoup my funds put out for purchase. I'd like to keep the majority of the best copies for my personal collection.
So I ask; at what price per book would be a GREAT DEAL and what would be a MAX per book in order to accomplish what I'd like to do???
I know it is not the easiest to answer sight unseen, but with info provided, I believe the knowledge here can help me out. At least I am hoping to get some help...
I am planning to go back and purchase ASAP if tthe numbers work.
Thanks so much for any help provided
