  1. That is kinda telling in my eyes if the variant literally sold at the same ratio in which it was supposedly distributed which was 1:25. Hard to believe that the newsstand is as rare as 1:267 but numbers don't lie and a whole year is a pretty good indicator I would think. Unless someone comes across a stash of newsstands at an old bookstore it looks like the numbers the UF4 get are more than justified and might even be a little low.
  2. With what you all know and the research you have done how many of the UF 4 books do you think are actually around right now? From what I understand the Direct Edition books are not particularly rare so I am surprised about the fact that there are sometimes months between listings of this book on ebay. I would have though with the prices it can reach that whatever was out there would have started coming out to sell by now but there has never been a flood of them as far as I have seen and I have been looking for them for about four years now.
  3. Thank you fastball. I am well aware that comichron is an estimate of the print run. I didn't realize I had to put a disclaimer on it as I figure most guys know that as common knowledge. Ok. By comichron "estimation" this book has "roughly" 600 to 700 copies which in my book makes it a book that is tough to find in the wild which I thought was the name of this thread. Now I remember why I don't use these boards very often. Carry on. Nothing to see here.
  4. Correction. I just looked at comichron and issue 1 of uncharted had a print run of 6171.
  5. Yes it is Adam Hughes. It's a 1:10 variant which does not sound like much but the estimate uncharted 1 only had a print run of 7 to 8 thousand only so you can do the math and see just how rare this is. It hardly ever comes up on ebay either.
  6. Went to a local con and found this book for only the second time ever. Found one about 3 years ago and sold way too low before I even knew how scarce it was so I am not making that mistake again. Gonna clean and press it and see how she does at CGC.
  7. I have a lot of modern marvel books that have waves on the covers. There is no break in color. Unfortunately it is just the crappy paper marvel is using nowadays. My question is does that affect the grade of a book when there is nothing else wrong with the book accept for the natural waves that seem to be in just about all new books. Thank you for any info you can give.
  8. I ordered some of the Hans High republic #1 books. They are in very nice shape but have waves on the covers that a lot of the newer Marvel books have. Does cgc take off for that? Are they ok to send in with the waves or should I get them pressed? Thanks for any info u can give.
  9. Have the newsstand of UF4 and sent it in a few years ago before I knew a lot about pressing and got it back as a 9.2. Recently popped it out and had it pressed locally and resubmitted it a few weeks ago. Fingers crossed it looked like a 9.8 to me but we will see. This book just does not come up on ebay. There were 2 that came up and sold over the summer that were 9.0 and a 9.2. There is currently a guy with one up for a BIN best offer of 1200 bucks that is also a 9.2. I am amazed that with the prices these pull when they come up that it has not come up more often.
  10. Sorry if this is in the wrong place but put in my first submission about a month ago and it went into graded status today. How long is it before they actually put the info online from the time they say they are actually graded?
