Marvel Premiere 54...wondering if anyone can explain this.??? Over $500.00.....Wow! Coming of Caleb Hammer....Maybe somebody knows something.... https://www.ebay.com/itm/134247542245?hash=item1f41c6ede5:g:37UAAOSw3kZjLltF&amdata=enc%3AAQAHAAAAoHcyuCsHnANb3s0QZlaaxHrDe07D%2F5WCQyt0FJNzdU4UtwV4yoD%2Bf2ptmZTB5YNtP1GM2opKkkG44fgK%2Bwc0wlRwUfiBumhtqNyF3Am0csDiD%2BtaQ%2BfY%2FfHiSXoi3tgSlgIGGMxF0Wvmo0XONYq084Fpl5DoUsP9u7faJw%2BrnztH1BR4sv%2B42GtUQ4hrNyiShnNOeSPGi4d1vr4c9DpiV2A%3D|tkp%3ABk9SR66y_repYQ -
I feel like Silver Surfer in the MCU might still be a while..
ninanina replied to Okguy's topic in Silver Age Comic Books
Okay, I'm going to assume it was a serious question, but based on the response so far...I'm not entirely sure. Here's my take. Before they can even think about a Silver Surfer movie, Fantastic Four has to dial in. -

More specifically, Scorpion 1...from Atlas. From what I've read, it's his 1st appearance...before moving over to Marvel. -
Savage Sword of Conan = the ugly stepchild of comics?
ninanina replied to mephistopheles's topic in Comic Magazines
When I looked at what was for sale, I did see a bunch of low to mid-grade books for sale and all were using a stock photo to show the copy. Not the best way to sell a book. When I looked at Completed Auctions and hit the from highest price....what is selling is hi grade and complete runs. So...yes...there is some love. You just need to know where to look. -
Okay, here's my take on this. There are probably others out there but, they may not be graded. So, it's pretty much impossible to answer your question and that's probably why no one's responded.

PGM king size Avengers 2 1968
ninanina replied to Bo1983's topic in Hey buddy, can you spare a grade?
I wanted to go in at 9.4 but only because of the lower right corner, I'm in at 9.2. Basing that on edge wear at the top and upper right side. Lots to like about this copy. -
mild stacking crease and upper right corner=9.4 IMO with a chance at a 9.6...Nice Copy

PGM Fantasy Masterpieces #1

Slight damage to the cover via staples and some edge wear top right an right edge = 8.5. Also, I don't believe this is a Whitman Variant because Marvel has no Whitman Variants in standard sized comics. All Whitmans were actually the 1st direct market editions of that particular comic. (Picked up this information from John McClure's article on Variants in Overstreet's Guide to Grading Comics (Sixth Edition) and apologies for bringing that up in this thread. -
Looking for comic restoration companies
ninanina replied to cigars&comix's topic in Comic Book Grading and Restoration Issues
I am looking to get a few Silver Age books pressed and some rusty staples removed and replaced on a Tales of Suspense 57...only because I know what will happen to this copy if I don't. I would appreciate some PM's from anyone that is capable...hoping in the Winnipeg area. -

I've spent the last year re-bagging my collection and at first really wondered if I should bother re-bagging the cheaper $3.00 books and decided to bag it all because you never know. -

I don't know, I just thought a few of you might find this interesting. I was checking out e-bay, and found a perfect 9.8 comic that CGC graded 9.4 only because the poly bag was removed. But, I've never seen a graded comic with the poly bag intact. Is this common? https://www.ebay.com/itm/234494011304?hash=item3698eea7a8%3Ag%3Aw38AAOSw4ARhnJkq&nma=true&si=ZF1JxQjwDDY2Dc2gl3yUB2ILh%2Bk%3D&orig_cvip=true&nordt=true&rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.l2557

Silver age comics that are heating up
ninanina replied to rabidwolf's topic in Silver Age Comic Books
Cover Price recorded a sale for a raw Fantastic Four 70 for $11,700.00. Does anyone know why??? I have what could be a 9.8 and I need to know if I'm rich or not. -

PGM Prince Namor, the Sub-Mariner #12 1969

I'm liking this as an 8.0...even with the crease. Hardly noticeable.
