  1. From Dennis the menace episode dated January 1961 The first one is Mr. Wilson holding it and all I know is there was a mention of "oh look, little Jack Horner" when Mrs. Wilson picked it up. Anyone identify?
  2. This makes sense but at the same time, the prestige of the MCU has such a sizable built in audience to elevate almost anything. With that being said - they wouldn't keep putting out Guardians movies if enough people thought they were lousy.
  3. What?!?....you mean there are books that have come down to earth from crazy wacko padded room crackhead level pandemic pricing??? I'm so stunned by this development I offer the community my shocked face... Fun fact: in 2021 there were two sales of ASM 129 blue label 9.8 for well under 25k
  4. Crazy to think my mom just turned 12 years old when this was printed. My dad was probably 9.
  5. I'd venture to guess the bulk of damage occurs relatively early on. Maybe the first two or three months after purchase off spinner rack before being put in a drawer.
  6. I have to imagine that was a replica copy of some kind from the way they were jerking it around. Check the 13:35 mark.
  7. Just wanting to update that cruddy old scan ⬆️ 🙂
  8. I put these off for so long! Took some time but was able to find a 98 in WP that was decently wrapped. Happy new year!

They are only visible from an angle and not looking directly at the slab. Otherwise everything looks great!
  10. This is where Doom rides around in silver surfer's board.
  11. You should be able to do it under economy or standard tier. I chose standard for the Wolverine page because the TAT was much better than economy. The total was under $80. I could of done it for maybe ~$50 under economy.
  12. Yeah I window bagged it there. There's some ink bleeding thru the other side but no big deal.
  13. Love the ink color! Looks great man but what about the page from 298?
  14. If I'm sending a raw to an in house signing I know is super high demand, I'm mentally preparing for the possibility it gets nicked up in the process. There's just too much opportunity for something to happen. Granted It still shouldn't ever suffer damage, but the reality of the situation makes it tough to avoid 100% of the time. Some people decide on pressing to rectify any potential problems that occur during the signing/handling process.
  15. Kind of kicking myself now for not doing the same thing with a page from ASM 300. The page where spider-man sees venom in the church for the first time. I probably would have had him sign on the empty strip of the page at the top. Best of luck with yours! Curious to see what they look like.
  16. Yeah I wouldn't be a bit surprised if the '90 series #1s reach a certain saturation point to overwhelm demand in all grades. There are lower print run editions like the gold upc Walmart and the platinum....then maybe the polybag editions (to the extent they can even be signed). I don't think those are at great risk. Besides that, I could see a few ASMs in certain grades end up in the same category. My intuition is that signed yellow label Spawn 1, spider-man 1 (silver, regular) ASM 300 are most at risk. I'm just sceptical of extrapolating that risk into everything Mcfarlane related with a signature on it.
  17. It could be too many people thinking their modern Spawn is a 9.8 then find out it's not after getting it signed at cgc. It becomes a choice between keeping a low value book or eating a loss to at least recover some of the money you got suckered into spending. Haven't seen too many of his signed ASMs lower than 9.8 fail to cover the fee. Haven't seen it yet with the 1990 series or early Spawn stuff either, at least according to GPA. I do suspect if there's going to be negative impact from market flooding it may show up in ASM 300 below 9.8 and Spider-man 1 silver and gold editions for all grades.
